Nike Payton 3 I believe... Glove.

They need to bring back the "morph" into today's kicks.

Like a snake print shroud on a Kobe shoe would look sick.

Nike Air Zoom GP III

Forefoot Zoom with Heel Max. Monkey Paw.

And MORF tech works.  ZERO slippage between the MORF skin and the chasis. The 3M grip material on the bottom of the inner chasis is insane.

But the shoes were expensive both to manufacture and to purchase.

Zero breathability. It was not uncommon for condensation to build up on the inside of the clear window strip on the MORF skin.  A bit on the heavy side as well.

Still a pretty great shoe though. Was my main balling pair for a while. Great impact protection especially in the heel and as long as the laces were pulled taut the fit was lockdown.

As for whether it's a deal or not, if they're in decent condition, take the plunge. These aren't ever going to retro.

Would go looking for a pair myself but I don't &%*^ with used shoes.

^ The shoe with the orange "max unit" is truly the shoe itself. The MORF skin is white. MORF skins are interchangeable. I believe there were 3 different designs that incorporated MORF, all of which were interchangeable- Pippen 5, GP 3 and a JKidd.

I had the black Pippens, and always wanted the white MORF skins.

These were also available on early nikeID way back when. I remember playing around with the options back on campus computers!

And I completely agree with your review, Clutchshooter. I loved my pair, and wore them into the ground.

the shoe with the orange max unit is inner bootie of the GP III. the white part is just the outer skin that could be changed out. i actually bought a pair of the black GP IIIs and bought the navy jkidd skin with the white toe and a white GP III skin and i used to change them out all the time. they were the exact same shoes with different skins.
