RUN with US on INSTAGRAM #NTrunning (NikeTalkRunning)

I need to run 1.5 miles in under 12 minutes. So far my best time is under 13.5 minutes. Any advice?

Run more miles per session for a few weeks and then taper down. When I'm trying to reduce my mile time I like to add 1 mile/run every week to get better conditioned. Once you can run 4-5 miles effortlessly or without stopping, running 1.5 will feel like a walk in the park.
Now, instead of budgeting your energy for the whole 5mi, you can burn it all for the 1.5 :smokin

All of you 7 min pacers, any tips on how to maintain this pace for long distances? I'm jelly!

You can do it too! Just run further mileage then taper down. You also have to consider effective breathing, shorter strides, footstrike, etc.

I remember when I could run a mile and a half in 10-11.5 minutes. A bygone era.

I ran six miles the other day. Half of it was on pavement and the other half was on this rubberized running trail. It really is jarring when you make e transition.

My knee was killing me after running.

PO: Man, I told myself that I wouldn't log more mileage until May since I already hit 100mi for the month, but you're making me want to go out for more runs!

need to give my legs a break until sunday. maybe a mile here and there prior to working out just to get my heart rate up. Circuit training in hopes to increase endurance so I can run for longer distances

i told myself i would eat better.. got Bay to Breakers next month.. 12K

gotta face Hayes Street Hill in SF. lol i plan to walk up it and then jam downhill

Three days off secondary to a long weekend that was a workout in itself
Eager to get some miles in this weekend. Only at 29.9 for the month :wow: :smh:

I think I need to start using some "heavier" trainers. I may reintroduce the Vomeros back into my running stable. I'm also looking into the Peg30s, as I love how the upper looks on them.

 run with dumb bells in each hand

Seriously though I have been focusing working out my legs when I go to the gym

Just need to increase my endurance now

the latest nike running app update had some bugs right off the bat.

it would load super slow and just would hang.

you have to first uninstall it, then reinstall it. fixed it for me. sucks i already started to run my 3 miles and it just never started the "begin your owrkout" or whatever voice thing. i was uninstalling and reinstalling and logging in during the first mile

Trying to find a pair for the low?

I love running the lunar technology. Going to need to replace some pairs soon
