RUN with US on INSTAGRAM #NTrunning (NikeTalkRunning)

^GU gels one before and another after 45min... Waffle stinger if you want something solid. Water, water, water. Recovery drink post race or bananas.

I can't eat while I run, because I immediately want to vomit.  Someone told me to just use the little hot chocolate-sized marshmallows, and I may try that.

I still have a little calf pain when I run. I'm wondering which one would be ideal for me to get to stop the soreness. Or basically they are the same.

Has anyone here been fitted for shoes by a running store and hated the shoes?

I was supposed to use stability shoes, that are all so damn bulky . Used them my first month of training, then randomly bought a super light neutral pair of shoes and have won't look back. Night and day improvement for me, or maybe I've just improved fast, who knows.

Posting this since it might not always be the best for you what the employee's recommend, I saw a lot of info online that shows fitting doesnt always work out as well.

Me! I too need stability shoes but I hated what was recommended (New Balance 860 :x). Appreciated the advice from the guy who fitted me though. Aesthetically I prefer Nike and for comfort I like Asics.

Any recommendations on stability Nike shoes for longer runs? My flyknits feels like the sole is too soft and starts giving. Also doesn't help that I'm on the heavier side

Started running like crazy this month and logged almost 30 miles..that's a lot for someone who hasn't been very active the last 4-5years I'm happy about it

Problem tho I got shin splints. Not sure if it's from shoes or running on uneven trail or both. Or if it's from running too much too fast

Love running the American River Trail, hopefully will be moving back to Sac soon. May have to link up and knock some runs out

just let me know :smokin

Just a few more days left. I'm currently at 66.6 miles this month with 2 scheduled runs on monday and tuesday.

how's everyone doing this month ? :nerd:

I'm at 59.72 for the month. Proud to say I've earned a Gold trophy for this month. I'm currently one mile from hitting another milestone lol...

Maybe one day I'll build enough strength to do one hundred miles a month.

Wish I was participating some more, I might make a separate IG account so I don't flood ppl w/ running pics

Been working on form rather than speed.

Pretty happy with the results.
Almost done with the first week of the 5k training.
The more I work on my form the less knee pain and shin splints I'm getting.

Hope everyone is getting their goals knocked out. Thanks to everyone who's posting to help the NTrunners stay positive and motivated.

Anyone do any trail running? If so what shoes are you using for that?

Will do man, just looking for a job out there, moved away initially because I was stuck at a grocery store post graduation. Trying to get back by just getting a job w the state. Fingers crossed

for longer runs. which do you guys prefer more the pegasus or flyknit lunar line

I was using Pegs for 5-6 miles, and Flyknit Lunars for longer than that.  But I got Lunartempos for my half next month, and the first two runs I've given them have been outstanding.

I'm at 141.51 for the month (plus around another 4 on Wednesday that I didn't log).  I have a 5 scheduled for tomorrow, and 10 for Tuesday.  Probably my last real big month of the year - for the other half marathons I'm going back to the beginner program, and maybe extend some runs on days I feel up to it.  The intermediate program is tough.

Yea planning on extending my run past 5 miles from time to time to start prepping myself for the half marathon program

No need, the program does a great job of easing you into it.  It wants you to be running 5 per WEEK until you start.  Save your legs, because the miles add up quickly.

nice, I'm about to start week 4 on the 5k training at intermediate

Running with lunar3s have cause me to have right leg pain :smh:
Same thing happened when I first started running at the start of the spring, with wrong shoes. I guess I shouldn't have tried fixing something that wasn't really broken :frown:
Ending this month at 80miles. I'm going to just take a break until at least Saturday, hopefully a full week has me good to go again
