RUN with US on INSTAGRAM #NTrunning (NikeTalkRunning)

So is it just the spotify running radio added within the app? I tried it and didn't like the radio. What's pace station feature mean?

Ran a whole mile in my natural stride without getting winded and under my time goal of 9 minutes.
Pretty pumped about that.

Signed up for my first 5k today too. September 27th in Park City on some of the ski slopes the 2002 Olympics were held on.

No app update or invite for me either.

Keep us updated on the shirts and other screen printing things.

Good job, man! Before you know, you'll be hitting 2, then 4, etc.!

How much would the shirts cost us?

Do you guys have any feedback with app that you'd like me to add into my personal feedback response?

Personally, I'm going to suggest adding a visual overall pace indicator (not the on the run pace indicator). Rather than hitting a certain distance to hear your overall pace, I think it'd be really helpful to have a visual indicator (like RunKeeper) that we could glance at any time during the run...

So it was 90+ with the sun out in full force and humidity yesterday. I had to run 5 miles and I decided to do it at noon
Ran my final one at full speed (I thought, guess it was just the final half). But ended up getting a new 1k PR of 4:13. I glanced at my pace on the app and it was around 6:0x, pushed more and could feel my body reaching its limit and feeling so many muscles getting worked. Felt awesome but I stopped right away since I still have to run double that today and don't want to be sore

Nice!

I just did an easy 1miler with the beta, and it just has Spotify integrated within the app. You also NEED Spotify Premium :rolleyes. I tried, and it really drains my battery :\ . Other than that, it has better iTunes integration... For me, I couldn't even control my music within the app before the upgrade.

New runner but I've gotten to 2 miles. My goal is just to get my mile time down.

700

700

700

These 10miles felt way easier than last week's. Went out drinking last night, got home at 3, woke up early to beat the heat
90 right now :x
Saw so many runners on the trail, barely any bikers, usually its way more bikers. :pimp:

Those splits are really nice.
Keep at it.
I've been using the Apple Music 3month free trial and they have some good running playlists you can stream or download. It's really helped focus and make each run unique.

Agreed... Splits are definitely nice. Love how how you push yourself each mile to go faster... Hopefully I'll be on the running trail again after I get right from this groin pain. Getting better though ....

Negative splits are a great way to approach training and running in general.

Not only does it make you feel good that you got faster as you ran, but you're teaching your body how to manage its energy stores for the end of the race.
Another benefit is your muscles have time to warm up and start managing the lactic acid build up at an easier pace.

Training using negative splits also helps newer runners learn pacing and focus on other aspects of their run other than "just finishing" or surviving.

If you want help in finding reasonable negative split times, you can use this splits calculator

Repped for that link.  I may have to try that.  Makes my goal (sub-1.45 half marathon) almost seem attainable, haha.

^^^ I run with the Knit shirts and absolutely love them. Most comfortable shirt I have ever worn

Agreed! I love the DRI-fit Knit tees! Are the Contour Shirts similar to the Tailwinds? The gradient on the back looks awesome!

I didn't want to buy knit shirts because of the price and because I didn't used to sweat that much. But the weather has risen and I definitely want to be as comfortable as I can possible be, running in the the contours opened my eyes . About to buy a knit and other shirts. You seriously get what you pay for when it comes to stuff like this
Granted, I'm sure other brands have similar shirts, but these are just sick :nerd:

I never saw the tailwinds until earlier when I was looking up other shirts on NDC. They seem very similar though. From the pictures, it looks like the contours are more breathable, but it could be the same. Don't know what the different is besides the gradient. My guess would be the contour has a different fit, but the same material,

Just read the description has "rolled-foward seams create a contoured fit"

^^ Thats my current running shoe, love them :pimp:

Probably going to transition into the Vomero next

Yeah, the heat is bad here, too.  Ran 5 at 6.30 this morning and it felt like mid-afternoon.

For shirts, a similar item to the Contour is called the Miler, and I think it's just at Factory Stores.  I have a few, and they're great.  The only issue is that they're a little rough if you wipe your face with them, but during the run, fantastic.
