^Replying to the discussion of DS Chaos IV above....
I think $1k and up is more than reasonable (esp for a DS pair). It's got overall scarcity, size scarcity, and unique aesthetic appeal. You can't even buy GR Kobe 4s for 300 anymore, let alone a DS or NDS pair of Chaos 4s. I mean...I'd be doing pretty well if I could get a DS pair of South Beach 8s for 300, but....aint gonna happen.
I'd expect to see a deadstock pair of Chaos 4s (in a desirable size, between say 10-11.5) go for at least what the Grinches are selling for - maybe more, neighborhood of 1100-1300. Assuming some kind of PP invoice price, that probably equates to something like 1k shipped. Not sure what is unreasonable about that....it's the market

lol nah...the market is whatever you make of it. And you can definitely buy GR Kobe IVs for under $300, just gotta know where to look and how to have patience. I've grabbed MLKs, Finals Aways, Ace Homes, all DS and for under $250 in the last year, and none of those are GRs. I also wear a sz 10, so it's not an obscure size.
As for pricing on the Chaos, $1K might be what some pairs on the market are being listed for these days, but I definitely don't think it's reasonable considering they were going for $300-400 not that long ago, before dudes started deciding Grinches for $1K was reasonable. I actually grabbed a DS pair of Chaos IVs for $500 last summer from a cosignment shop when dudes would try to have you convinced that $800-900 was a steal. I didn't even want to drop $500, but I'd already been wanting Chaos IVs for a long, long time and hadn't seen any better. Maybe you could say I got "lucky" with that price considering today's market, but I'm never in a rush to pay some of the prices dudes ask for these days. I always think patience pays off more often than not if you're willing to wait and do your homework.

not trying to waste money at all...but for limited releases, especially ones from a few years back, the retail price really has nothing to do with anything, let's be honest. I was just saying I'd *expect* to see DS K4 Chaos listed for over 1k on eBay...maybe you can stumble into a $500 pair at a random consignment shop, but most people don't. These things are scarce enough online...
I do agree w Wayne that it is easier to find other K4s for "reasonable" prices. The only one in that list that sticks out to me as one that was kind of a steal are the MLKs - I've seen those sell easily for over 400, and they're getting a lot less common. IMO, the K4s in general are kind of getting to that LeBron 7 class where all of them are worth something, and the best ones are worth a s***load. Maybe you find someone who needs the cash fast and wants to move a pair...but I think prices are only going up given the popularity of the K4 model in general, and that it's 5 years old this season.
Imagine what a pair of those K4 Christmas IDs would go for DS...nvm they look like ketchup and mustard and aren't unreleased samples, those things would get 1k easy!

Most of the OG Kobe's are now reselling for 300. Came across a Mpls pair and just thought about pulling the trigger.

Lot of dudes are just jacking up their prices now hoping people will bite because of the Prelude pack hype. I've seen things that never resold for more than $140-160 get listed for $300+, but that's just dudes fishing for a pay day. I'd definitely hope things calm down again after all this Prelude hype.

I was always on the fence with the mpls... Just not a huge fan of the colorway. Passes when they came out, passed on the PYS restock. I almost scooped from PYS tho... Wish I did. Saw some dude swap out the laces for yellow laces and rock with the throw back mpls jersey the lakers wore years back.... Looked clean.

Yeah I almost bought them for 40% off at an outlet but decided not to. I still can't believe the decisions I've made but at the end of the day, you just can't time travel.

Its funny SOO many GR 4's sat for a minute and now the GR pairs are going for crazy amounts. I agree tho they were super easy to get, with the exception on some of the HOH exclusive pairs. I swear there were like 12 HOH exclusive cw's that dropped in the U.S. alone.

Superheroes are probably the best performing 8s cuz of the forefoot + heel zoom they have in addition to the lunarlon, so they'll probably end up lasting longer than your Del Sols in the long run if you plan to put in some serious court time. Both are great performers on court though, kinda just depends which one you like better in terms of how they fit on your feet. Looks wise, I'd take Del Sols in a heartbeat lol

it is a tough choice for me cuz i really like the colorway of the del sol but kobe iv kinda chunky and the more recent kobes 5,6,8 more slim look. do you know if the grip is tight on the elites 8 cuz i heard someone said elites outsole better grip the regular 8s. i know da kobe iv grip was off da hook super grip lol
