Sitting close from the field at an NFL game. Is it worth it?

I'm looking into buying tickets, and I've seen some within the first couple rows between the 20-20 yard lines for a decent price. I have heard that those arent good and that you cant see much and your view is obstructed.
Any of you ever sat within the first 5 rows on the sidelines at a game? Opinions?

football imo is WAY better on tv. best part of live games is the tailgate. the actual game is best watched on tv, imo of course.

but to your question, i enjoyed being 20 rows back more than being in the 3rd row...at gillette stadium tho, so take it for what its worth.

which stadium? i once sat in like the 8th row at qualcomm and couldnt see **%$.

ive sat in the 2nd row near the end zone candlestick, very good view but the action was mostly on our side which may not be the case.

Qualcomm. They have some row 1-5 tix for a decent price, but nevermind now
Why couldnt you see? Is it because all the players are 6'5 and lined up along the line?

yeah, they block your entire view of the field. you'll get to watch the whole game on the jumbotron. qualcomm field level literally starts on the field. the stands arent elevated much. unless they're in the one end zone that has field seats, dont do it.

honestly, i wouldnt sit anywhere under like row 18 on the field level at that place. plaza level has the best view, IMO.

but for NFL games, especially regular season, if i don't have decent seats where i can see the whole game i'd rather watch it at home/the bar.

for college games it doesnt matter where you sit tho, its gonna be live regardless.

It depends....last year my boy and I had tickets on the 30 6 rows up and I saw everything....we were so close I had 2 tackles and a forced fumbleEdit: Ford Field btw

I've been in the blackhole the last couple of seasons but when money is less of an issue you'll catch me in 242. Best seat in the house. 1000 x better than watching on TV.

Sat in the front row on the 50 yard line at Candlestick. Was so pumped when I got the tickets. Couldnt see a god damn thing.

And to the dude who posted the

about Qwest not having any bad seats.....looks just like Candlestick in a sense that the people in the first couple rows on the sidelines wouldnt be able to see %@%#.

I agree with dead being 15-20 rows up is better than real low. Still prefer watching at home in all honesty, I can't stand football fan whoncant handle their liquor plus you can see so much more

Once in a while, definitely.

The only time I've really regretted it was in 07 during the season opener...it was hot as hell and brought no hat, so I was frying!

40 yard line about 20 rows back, best seats ever.

Sat in the blistering cold last year during the Giants/******** game (I had a few other videos in my channel). I hope to go again when the lockout is over.

I have sat around the 50 yard line close to the sidelines, a few rows up, and even in the end zone.  To me the best seats and time I had in a sitting location was the end zone.

THIS club level at Fed Ex field

I do like club level, you are up a bit, have weather options, plus around pretty good fans

i like sitting in the endzone, first few rows of the upper tier. you see the plays developing like you're playing Madden

I think it depends on the stadium.. Personally the two times I've been to Heinz Field I was in the upper level east (508) and to me the fans are the best up there.. Vantage point was also not bad.. (lost to ravens the first time though back in Dec 07 so everyone was pissed)

I've also been to games in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa (1) and Dolphin Stadium (8-10) in Miami various times. To me in Tampa I thought it was cool seats in the mid to lower section were mad tight in the endzone as expected. I never have liked Dolphin stadium (with it's numerous names over the years) because the fans are always so fake .. they have little loyalty for the dolphins down there... stadium isn't bad though but watching a live football game in florida at any level you have to be aware that day games are hot as Hell..

IYN thanks for the input. Its Qualcomm Stadium and the sideline is probably very low because its a baseball stadium also. I think I might get some in the endzone

I prefer NFL on tv. However if you live near a big college, college football games are something you have to go to live.
