Adidas ORIGINALS updates

some of y'all put a lot of value in a shoe box lol....
I know I do...I have over a 130 pairs, so boxes are vital to keeping my closet organized. And It's just bad ethics to purposely remove parts of what you purchased.

I think you're missing the point.

It's also about their extremely poor customer service. And regardless of whether a  few boxes were the focus this particular discussion, it doesn't matter. He paid for a service and a product and it was delivered substandard. Would you want people like that working for you if you owned a company? Was the company or person either too cheap or lazy to grab another box or to ship seperately ? How would you feel if say your extra set of laces were missing, especially if there were some super rare kicks?

As a buyer, I'm sure you'd point to product missing accessories or a box if you were negotiating and use it as leverage.  For God sake, people in these forums cry over small glue stains. Completely understand if any of the aforementioned are not important to you, but for many, it is extremely bothersome. And for others who happen to collect, it means a lot. If it wasn't, then places like Flight Club wouldn't mention damaged boxes in their remarks on a particular shoe. If you collected comics, would you be happy if the front cover was torn off? I mean you still get the whole story in the comic, right? To be honest, whether I collected shoes or not, at minimum I'd be disgusted with their level of service.

At the end of the day, they way his product was delivered was really inexcusible. And btw, you're not getting you drink with your Big Mac combo either

Just got these in from Size and i'm not really sure about them tbh..

Suede is great quality surprisingly. The colour is a deep blood red and very consistent throughout.

They also fit huge. Went down a full size from my Nike TTS and they still fit roomy.

no.... i think you just didn't take my comment the way it was intended

there were people saying he should get free shoes, get more than a 20% discount, etc etc....

boxes have been put on a pedestal in the "sneakerhead" world because well..... thats what "sneakerheads" do... they also ***** and complain about extra sets of laces and other trivial things ...

i understand the customer service aspect of it....  the items you purchase should be packaged properly... there's no debating that .. someone didn't do their job

but again, let's be reasonable in the compensation ---- THAT is what I meant by putting too much value in a box

it's a slight inconveinence... nothing to ruin your day over

Lol @ how would I feel if the extra set of laces were missing

i overlooked that in your post ....and bam, like clockwork......

I actually interpreted your comment exactly how you explained in your response. In fact, I'm the one that suggested he should be compensated more than 20% for that incident. I literally could get a 20 or 25% coupon by giving Adidas my email address and seconds later, a code appears. Shows pretty minimal effort on their part considering they're passing them out like candy. A majority of material goods, regardless of shoes, that have cosmetic flaws or missing things are typically given reductions in price. My dude's shoes should be no different. Have you ever seen someone walking out of Best Buy with a new TV that didn't box have a box at full price? Or since we're talking shoes, those as well? You're paying your earned money for the entire package it was intended to come with.

You'll have to forgive my laziness for not going back a few pages and verifying since I'm mobile, but to my recollection, he was given a 20% off for his next purchase. The irony is that these fools expect him to spend more money in a place that delivered crappy customer service the first time and now they want him to spend more money to yield any type of benefit for that headache? Reasonable is a relative term, but IMO he should been compensated with that 20% coupon if he so chose to give him business again, in addition to money returned from the order that went awry. Now, do I think the shoes should have been free? Not at all. I can agree with you on that. Besides, many in the world consider this entire forum unreasonable. The amount of money I, you, and the rest of forum spend of shoes is probably unreasonable to world and nauseating to most. The fact we hold not just the box, but shoes in high regard, would probably drive many of our loved ones to admit us to insane asylum, or spawn a show about sneaker intervention.

At the end of the day, I agree with some of what you say, but other stuff, I'll have to agree to disagree. I can respect the fact we have varying opinions. That said, I'm sure further discussion on this topic is an exercise in futility at best, considering our opposing views. Plus I'm probably interrupting, the more important matters, the shoes. I apologize, fam . And even though I don't know ya, I still love ya. If anything, thanks for speaking your mind, regardless if we're of different mindsets regarding "a box."

I guess most important is, if our boy was happy with a coupon code, well, that's all that matters.

Just got these in from Size and i'm not really sure about them tbh..

Suede is great quality surprisingly. The colour is a deep blood red and very consistent throughout.

They also fit huge. Went down a full size from my Nike TTS and they still fit roomy.
I usually avoid the all red trend with shoes but these look quality

I'm the same too.

If you are not into the mesh you can customize this shoe on their website

with leather for a more high end look.
