Man I was living those rose gold GLvs until I saw more pics. The blue on the inner part of the shoe ruins them for me. Oh well I'll save $170

is it jsut me that i find the embers more unique compared to this month's RF x asics gl5s? (i guess yess..) however i hope i ll be able to cop on saturday

Sorry guys, need some more advice here... I'm hesitant on pulling the trigger on the Alvins. This will be my first pair of GL3 and dropping $200 on a pair still seems a bit high to me for these. Are they really that comfortable and worth it? To give you some background, I'm typically a Nike Flyknit Racer kinda guy...

GL3s are comfortable but maybe you should get a cheaper pair for yourself before u drop $200 on something youre not familiar with

They are the comfiest of all my GL3s. Get them. I'm thinking about getting a second pair.

Comfiest? Don't all GL3's feel the same?
What do you guys think about the new GR colors? Grey-mid blue, black bandana or the exploration? I may go that route since they're cheaper.

They all do not fit the same. My Urban Camos, for example, are really uncomfortable. My ECP Knicks are very comfy. But my Alvins are the tops.
Plus the shape on the Alvins is top notch.

Well that just complicates it even more lol. Strange how they would all feel differently if the materials are the same. Made in different factories?

i can compare it to nike SBs. i love them but the black rain SBs that came out last year are probably the least comfortable model ever made probably cuz of an elastic strap on the inside. theres sometimes a little difference within models across the board

Materials are not the same and rarely are. Collabs typically have better materials. Urban Camo materials were absolute crap. Knicks are insanely good. Alvins are pretty good, but nothing to write home about.

They are right man, even though they're the same model they all have different fits and feels to them. It's hard to tell unless you actually have the shoes in hand but for the most part they're all still extremely comfortable compared to other shoes.

I thought I was the only one about the captain blues, they fit terrible and hurt my feet.

I personally don't see a difference in comfort. Materials may vary but I can't feel how buttery the suede is or isn't if it's on the outside of the shoe. I think there might be a psychological aspect to the whole comfort thing

Nippons from what I've seen definitely beat them by a mile in terms of quality. As far as the colorway is concerned, I'd have to disagree. The execution as far the asymmetrical lateral/medial is what separates it from most GR imo. As well as the 3m heel.
I really do love the Alvin Purples though so I'm biased...
