ASICS may have finally reissued the long-absent GT-Cool back in 2013, but the Xpress — the Cool’s tech-saavy follow-up — has remained in the vault. 2016, however, sees the return of the design — complete with its original colorway. Decidedly ’90s, the Xpress modifies the look of its predecessor and ditches a split tongue in favor of a GEL-Lyte V-esque neoprene bootie while also incorporating windows along the midsole to highlight ASICS’s signature GEL cushioning. Decked out in off-white suede with purple leather and a combination of lime green and sky blue accents, the retro edition of the OG GT-Cool Xpress is available now via Tokyo’s atmos.
