the only downfall for me is that all the lebrons sit so high off the ground...i dont like these all that much but they are still the same way.

ive seen on the navy soldier 2 it has a hole in the tounge.so not all the soldier 2s will have this?

All Soldier 2's have the 'Ring' (that he's chasing) at the tongue...except for the Eastbay TB colorways...which have 'Elite' taggingalong the tongue.

ROCK ya know youre absolutely rightWell I started collecting Lebronsjust casually but kinda gave up after I seen the 3's drop because I seen all the PE's that came to DENVER for the allstar weekend a few years back..although very impressive and breath taking, it was just tooo overwhelming because I knew Id never get those "PINK LEBRON 2's " lol lol = cause atthat time I knew nothing about his PE's.. But both SUPERMAN colorways were my favs. Anyway I just died down copin Lebrons so Ijust stuck to J's, SB's and Dunks... but then recently with seeing the fall of the JORDAN brand with all the crap and stunts they pull, plus LEBRONalways being my favorite player I decided to get back into the mix but I have no direction in the new stuff.... my collection is in a sense okay, not too badas you can see by clicking "MY KICK GAME" in my sig to see the arsenal I have.
BUT NOW I want to get back in more so and get the best LEBRONS I like out there but living in the Mile High, we dont get the good stuff like limited colorwaysor PE's but luckily I was able to cop my SOLDIER SVSM's from fellow NTer DIDITHEPEST so I got to know the 411 oneverything I feel from here on out if I want the best Lebron kicks.. VIVA NT.. haha one love yall

I like the simplicity of the shoe. I'm still surprised that the Soldier I's sold as wellas they did, because the Soldier I was ugly to me.

Shoes that use the XI toe design or patent toe is so played out and un-original...
Back to the topic... these shoes are just another alternative for consumers who didn't like the Lebron V's.
If you're in business, in my case it's marketing. It's just another product-offering to keep up the market share for lebrons. Some people justdidn't like how the signature shoe looked, felt or weighted, but Nike wants people to buy lebrons, so it designed another shoe: lighter, "moreappealing" and less bulky to satisfy the taste of vast majority.

Nice and clean. All of the battle gear (straps) totally turned me off to the 1's.
Wish they had one more lace hole at the top for ankle support...
