a ton of shoes with that raised outsole

Post up pics of these Troops and BK's that you say "imitated" and were"exact replicas" of Jordans so we can see them!!! I am 40 and had all 3 brands back when they came out in the 80's and I don't remember ANY Troops or BK's that were even close to looking like a Jordan shoe. Yeah they both used an elephant print material on some of their shoes but other then that, the designs were completely different... If anything Troops were more influenced by Adidas and Fila's then Jordans. So if you could post up some pics I am curious as to what models of each shoe you are referring to... thanks!!!!

I remember Stadia. They were sold at Kinney shoes, I believe. I remember in 7th grade trying to explain to my parents why they needed to spend $100 on Jordan IIIs when they could get Stadia (that looked just like them) for $50. I lost the debate and ended up getting random generic Nikes.
But I wasn't going to get Stadia knock-off Jordans and get laughed at all day at school.

interestingly enough, I tried looking up Stadia shoes and found out that Kinny shoes (owned Stadia) also owned Foot Locker, Footaction USA, and Champs. Kinney was a division of Woolworth's and eventually became their most profitable division. When the Kinney stores began failing, they focused on the Foot Locker concept and eventually evolved into Footlocker Inc. I guess they figured if you can't beat 'em, sell 'em...

These aren't really fakes - they're inferior clones (superior to today's stuff though). You can compare them to the Payless Shaqs or Spalding Shox knockoffs.

i was 14 yrs. old in 1985 when jordans started and they blew up bigtime
every shoe company was on the ban wagon
i remember all my friends saying they were getting the red/ white/ black new jordans for school
then when school started they all had the knockoffs like pro-keds and pro-wings that look like the jordans
i was the only person to have the real thing and i was bragging on them and i remember them saying
well there the samething as yours , i ofcourse went on with how they were so different
the shoes at the begining of this post are at least leather, all the ones i remember were that cheap plastic
"that was it for me i was hook and i have to say i was lucky enough to be at the perfect age when jordans started to know what shoes were all about and i was lucky enough to have gotten every pair i did considering i grew up in baltimore city POOR but between my mom+dad , 2 grandmothers and 1 grandfather and me saving all my money i got i was able to get every jordan i wanted which was almost everypair. ive had every pair of OG jordans in almost every OG colorway , you name the shoe and colorway
and chances are ive had them and let me say considering those days i will say i was very lucky " ........................................peace23
