Especially if you like to dance. These joints would have a _ on the floor doing all types of moves. Those were the days

Honestly, it was the music that you threw on a tape before you borrowed your parents car and took some honey to some backstreet and knocked it out. It was the music I had sex to...
Let's Chill by Guy was THE song at freshman dances.
14 years old, raging hormones and slow songs? it was a wrap...
And I really wouldn't put the Gap Band in the New Jack category. They may have influenced New Jack music and toward the end some of their songs reflected it, but almost all of their hits were NOT New Jack music. Just my opinion.
Troop - All I Do is Think of You is another good one. I remember my girl in high school threw that on a mixtape for me.
New Jack City soundtrack - Color Me Badd and Christopher Williams
Silk and Shai had some cool songs
I think this post has me ready to make a 90's music mega thread for my 7,000 post...
It was a good time. No job yet. The only worries was getting that report on Shakespere written over the weekend...

My mans. We too old for this place.

Make that thread. You throw up "Let's Chill", I'll throw up "I Like", which could be in my Top 50 all time. I break 100mph if I hear that in a whip.

Throw up Troop "All I Do Is Think Of You", I'll throw up "I Will Always Love You".

I could go deep. I just need a little inspiration.

Yes....New Jack Swing.....APPRECIATED.

This music defined my HS era from 1988-1992.. this was my soundtrack w/the HS sweetheart at the time. Bumping all these on CASSETTE tape players (yeah, I said it) & the first gen Walkmans, the AIWAS and the yellow Sony Sport waterproof jobs...

Color Me Badd from the New Jack City soundtrack, Johnny Gill, Johnny Kemp, Guy, etc.

What EVER happened to this music?

Happy, feel good music... Bring it back, there is still a market for this music....

Just saw Boyz II Men in concert 2+ months ago, even the younger folks knew the lyrics... gotta be a sign, right?

Used to roll all these on my iTunes playlist at my last job & the MILF women would stop just to groove.
