@ the Italian fans cheering when Rosberg's engine blew out...
No surprise there... he was closing in on Seb and probably would have passed him.

So instead of winning the championship by a medium margin, he'll be winning by a huge margin.  Ehhh.

@ Lewis not taking off his cap during the minute of silence... he said he didn't know and was listening to music, but TV footage showed that he didn't have his earphones in... and how did he not notice that it got quiet all of a sudden?  Disappointing.

And also... imagine the uproar if F1 loses Monza over licensing fees... SMH.

I think that tends to get overblown when it's Lewis for some reason. Nico and Kimi both did it for Bianchi and no one said anything.

I'm not a Bernie fan but I would begin to hate him if he took away any of the historic tracks. There was 150k in attendance i think i heard on BBC. Money should not be everything all the time.

Well

@ those guys too  cuz they should have known better.

I think the fact that this time Lewis was the only guy to not do so and that he was the last to get on the truck made it stand out more.

Of course, if this race does get cancelled, he'll blame it on the organizers not "wanting to host" this race enough.

Yeh true.

As for the championship, nothing is certain after China 2007

Also Lewis stressed his engine pumping them laps in at the end of the race which may play a twist, who knows.
Rosbergs engine died after they turned it up to chase Vettel, Lewis one could potentially die at the end of a race due to some of the life taken out of it during this race.

Still all to play for IMO.

2007 was much closer in terms of points and the performance-gap to the next team.  He has the strongest car by a longshot and is over 50pts ahead of the next guy in the same car.  It'd take some catastrophic DNF's and Nico to win those races to change things.  Luck's been on his side too.

It doesn't really matter anymore, but I noticed this the other day so thought I'd mention it.  During the Bianchi tribute, a few drivers showed up with their caps on, but took it off right away, as seen in the vid.  Saw on social media that some of LH's fanboys tried to defend him with that pic, but obvs it wasn't the case.

But really though, some of those fanboys are nutters.

He can do no wrong and any criticism will be deemed racist.

The haters and fanboys have too much time on their hands.

Only time I see the drivers are on the race weekends. Who cares about the personal side unless they're at an event like The Festival of Speed or if they had a newborn like Nico and Seb. That's understandable.

But like In Spa, Sky was talking about Lewis twerking in Barbados
Next race, it's the blonde hair.

Who cares and why does it need to be in the race build up. I hate how they mention it more and more in the build up. All that can be left on twitter or the daily mail.
DC said it best in this article, if it doesn't affect the driving then who cares.

I completely agree.  Although I prefer a low-key lifestyle, what LH does in his free time is none of our business.  Bernie is just drooling over all this publicity, but it's so unfair of him to call out Nico or Seb or whoever for "not doing enough" for his sport.  Unreasonable to expect them to change their lifestyle to promote the sport.

Didn't Bernie change his mind on that. I read something about him saying he needs to tone it down or something.

SMH @ RBR... 4 world  championships with Renault... now they're struggling and acting like spoiled children.

I dont get it either.

Now they're going with Ferrari for 2 years then VW.

Its going to be a while until theyre back into contention imo.

One of my fav tracks on the calendar. Will Mercedes finally get de-throned? :nerd:

What a drive by Seb!  Cool, controlled.  Merc just didn't have it.  Luck has been on Lewis' side all season... but this time, it was his turn.

McLaren though... *sigh*

But how about that crazyass fan though?!
