Cowboys wide receiver Patrick Crayton is expected to sign a four-year deal worth as much as $14 million on Thursday night, according to Crayton's agent Fred Lyles. Crayton, who took over as the No. 2 wide receiver when Terry Glenn was injured, will receive a $6 million signing bonus.
4/$14 mil for a solid #2 and very good #3 is nothing. Another damn good deal for GM Jerry.

Jones seems to be making all the right moves recently

Lol you know this hot streak is going to end sometime soon though

nice deal, dude will never be a number 1 tho i keep hearing cowboy fans say he will take over for TO when he hangs it up.

Horrible move by the Cowboys.. I think he leads the league in running out of bounds to avoid a tackle.

Cowboy fans, from wut i been hearing, we might be letting the Barbarian go

Ima be p'oed if they dont resign him.

^^^ yeah right ^^^ theres no freakin way we are letting him go unless jerry really wants to trade up to get mcfadden ... i do believe if a team takes barber, they have to give up a first and third rounder, which would mean we have 3 first round draft picks putting us in a position to get d mac ... possibly trade 2firsts for the jets 3rd pick? ... i still dont believe jerry will do it (LISTEN UP JERRY!), but ive said before that i dont think barber is a full time featureback, i just like his game so much that id hate to root for him on another team ...

as for my man crayton ... dude is the laziest receiver ever, but he always catches the ball and his hands on punt returns are a sure thing ... i liked thepassion he showed last week cuz i really didnt believe dude had a pulse ... if you read the espn article, his agent said they could have got far more money inFA but his family and home is in dallas, so thats a positive ... he will never be a number 1, but dude is one of the best 2 or 3's in the league ... jerryis hot right now, keep that poop up

Good move by Jerry , Crayton doesnt have to be the 1 but as a 2 he good and consistant . and Barber isnt going anywhere if anybody is leaving its Julius Jones.

I dunno, he's gotten better every year and he played qb in college.

I like the move though, Crayton is a solid 2nd/3rd option.

Great move, I'm surprised Crayton wouldn't want to try and go to a team with WR troubles and become a starting receiver full time.

Great move by the cowboys.

in Madden 07 he is my number one in the year 2010 in my franchise. I traded both TO for TJ Hushsadf;lasdf;lkjsad, and Terry Glenn for Antwan Randel El,because both were 15/14 year vets and going to retire. Pat Crayton is my number one guy

Good move Jerry...I like this dude. He may (keyword: MAY) develop into a #1 but even if he never does, he's better than some teams' #1s and he's agood #2 option. 4 years, 14 mil is a good deal and still leaves us sumthin like 13-17 mil under the cap next year. (Resign MBIII or I renounce my fanhood! Wellna...not really...but I will be pretty mad...) Plus, he's our #3 QB, so its like gettin 2 players in one

im surprised he didnt at least test the free agency waters too. hes from desoto, which is right by dallas, so i guess his family really is comfortable at homein dallas.

mayb i was wrong

Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber III, 24, the former Gopher who needs 19 yards
against Washington on Sunday to reach 1,000 for the season, can expect a new five-year contract in the $25 million range, including a signing bonus of about$10 million, before next season.

Nice. Jones is def gone.

^^^^^^^ WHAT IS THE PIONEER AND WHO IS THAT QUOTE COMING FROM? if its jerry or someone in the organization than that is fire, but if its just some reportermaking speculation on what the deal might be than pluhhhhhhhhhh

Good re-signing. Glue guys like Patrick Crayton are huge for a team and he earned it this season, filling in for Terry Glenn. No he's never going to be a#1 WR

and if he is, the team probably won't be strong contendersfor a Super Bowl. He's a role player who can step in and make some big plays, nothing wrong with that.

Marion Barber and Chris Canty should be next. Canty is coming along quite nicely this season under Phillip's defense, definitely pleased with his progress.
