If you grew up in LA and rode the bus, you already know about the 40

I'll be post some stuff shortly. We have new buses here.

This is a good time to ask. Does anyone have a transit center that is/was elevated? Like ramps that take you up to it? I'll see if I can find some pics of our old Dixie Terminal.

Guy above says east coast has superior systems?  However...

1. Denver-Aurora, Colo.

2. New York-Newark, N.Y.-N.J.-Conn.

3. Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana, Calif.

4. Boston, Mass.-N.H.-R.I.

5. Portland, Ore.

6. (tie) San Jose, Calif.

6. (tie) Salt Lake City, Utah

8. San Diego, Calif.

9. Seattle, Wash.

10. Honolulu, Hawaii

HATE waiting and a lot of the bs that goes on, but it definitely builds character.

Seen some wild @%@+ go down on BART, and used to ride that same bus that Epic Beard Man beat up that dude on.

Glad I have a car, though.

The school bus is called Uni-trans, saved my life my first two years of college.

Peep this. About 13 years ago we had like an air transit center for Tank buses (Kentucky's transit company). They stopped using it in the late 90s due to rising rent prices

The Tank buses came across this bridge here and went up into this building on one side, made a U turn and came out the other after picking up passengers and what not. EPIC place for me as a kid...

The picture below are the ramps they used. See in the background is Riverfront stadium.

^That's the front entrance hall which leads to the stairs to the terminal. They don't have many pictures from this but trust that it was a cool place.

Man I heard a sound clip of the CNG (ones with the big tank on top) and sheeeesh!!! Beastly!

LA got rid of theirs in 2009.... feels bad man

Its so much more easier and convenient then dealing with a car. I take public transit all the work which is about 30 or so miles from Columbia, MD (hope to be out of there soon) to Bethesda, MD. In the last 3 months, I've probably only put like 1200 miles on my car.
