Not saying this was my favorite player, but the first player I ever took up for was Byron Scott.

I'll never, ever forget it.

It started with this fat, blonde chick in a tie-dyed shirt she made for some fund-raising thing on campus. We were playing ball and everyone was'being' another player. Byron Scott had posterized someone the night before, and I had the second 'pick' on who I wanted to be. Naturally, thefirst pick was Magic, and I immediately screamed out, 'BYRON SCOTT!! BYRON SCOTT!! I'm'a dunk on ALL of you!"

So this fat blonde was like, "Why?

Starting with that, I went through a little spurt where I stuck for my dude Scott all the time. Write a paragraph about a player? Byron Scott. Show and tell?Byron Scott's basketball card. Talking about last night's game with friends? "Did you see Byron's dunk when Magic passed it to him and hedunked it?"
