I can attest that Baltimore dudes were attempting to get out of the shadow of Philly's little bro, and began attempting to emulate DC style around 2005 as Wavy is saying.  They actually do call them 'dopes' as well.  He also is not kidding about the markup on Timbs going up crazy around 2011-2012. 

That said, Baltimore dudes were the first to hop bike on the affordable air 1 wave

Philly always been a dusty ***** city. Yall not some slick dudes. Philly always like 2 years late on ****. Dudes in Philly just started rocking new balances :lol:. Baltimore is the home of the trendsetters. We just don't got nobody big to put on for our city, and are humble...so we let DC think they the Flyest and trendsetters.

Philly dudes come down to Baltimore to get game...then take it back up there, and try to remix it. Just like y'all stole club music from us. Got dudes in Philly wu-tanging to "aye down da hill". Not knowing DDH is a notorious hood in East Baltimore :lol:.

And y'all stole the bike life culture from us. Meek tryna play like Philly started that. This dude learning how to ride from Chino. Hired a kid from Baltimore to be his Bike Guru.

I think they are limited everybody from my city was posting em on IG yesterday asking where to cop and no stores had em. The local "shoe dude" had 3 pairs and people were offering crazy numbers so I wasn't even gonna ask him.

They probably are limited. I was joking because dude in here said that they aren't limited right after they were posted. I hope that the style doesn't become some new type of fad. I don't wanna read a bunch of posts on here about how Baltimore or New York had 'em before anyone else. :D
