in all honesty back on '01 i believe I found a pair of men's scherling fur timberlands that had to be the most comfortable winter boots ever. These were not the roll-top joints...these pre-dated them.

I live about 13 miles from the Smithfield joint, but I've never been over there. Been wanting to get a pair of the field boots, so I'll have to check it out. My favorite Timbs were always the Wheat Oxfords...Not as uncomfortable to wear as the 6 inch boots, but looked the same with jeans on.

How do you guys wear these? Don't think they're ugly but they're way too damn heavy to be comfortable in IMO. Not to mention they look foolish on slim guys like me
On a side note, I haven't seen anyone in Cali wear these since 2004 (Probably cause they realized its dumb to wear these in 65-75 degree weather
). Definitely an East Coast thing

Wheat 6" are classic. Gotta have a pair in the NYC winter.

Timbs definitely take some getting used to. First off, they run big (at least the standard construction ones do). Go down about a half size just for a regular fit. You also need to wear thicker socks with them, that's why Timberland socks are usually thick and heavy.

id suggest going quick though because they probably have them for the summer. Once fall hits they will fly off the shelves and unless you are really lucky $180 will be your only option. Also the Burlington I went to by 23rd street nyc had the legit ones with the leather on the upper portion, not those timbs that don't got it.

Timbs have become ungodly expensive. Haven't owned a pair since middle school. Not willing to drop over $150 on boots, not yet at least.

yea i feel u on that. used to cop pairs from their outlet store here for like 60-100. Best bet is black friday. I copped the Og wheats for like 100 2 black fridays ago and i remember they were cheap last year as well.
