Alright, so this show is arguably the funniest show on TV. Season 1 - 3 are available to watch on HULU. If you have Netflix, you can catch seasons 1 and 2 on there. Season 1 is only 6 episodes, but it's very difficult to get through. Season 2 and 3 are borderline genius. Full of Lulz!
Here's a preview of Season 4.

Feel free to post your favorite clips and moments.

Parks & Rec is taking a similar path as The Office did. While The Office was much stronger through the first 2.5 seasons, P&R will be the better of the two when it's all said and done because of the wider range of characters. Glad Chris Pratt is getting work outside of physical comedy (excited to see him as Scott Hatteberg in Moneyball)...let's see what he's made of.

Yea, maybe I exaggerated a bit, but it def wasn't easy watching. After watching the first episode, it took me about a month to finish the rest of the season on Netflix. Just for reference, I went through Nip/Tuck in it's entirety in a little over a month.

I CAN'T WAIT! (Bart Scott voice)

I will def be rockin my 'city of Pawnee, Indiana' shirt that day!

One of my most favorite exchanges...

Leslie Knope: Ok, let's all go around and each say something nice about Tom.

Jerry: Ok, I'll start. I really wish I could have your body.

Tom Haverford: What?

April Ludgate: Eww, like tied up naked in your basement?

Jerry: No, no I mean you're in good shape and you can eat whatever you want.

Leslie: That was weird, Jerry.

I love me some aubrey.

Never watched, but interested...is it on par with The Office..? No way it's better, Prison Mike alone > any character on mainstream sitcoms

broke one of my DTV hd boxes so ive jus been streaming Netflix from my phone and sumhow discovered this show...

season 1 i chuckled, season 2 i lol'd, excited to watch season 3...

^ It's better than the recent seasons of the office, and that's coming from a HUGE office fan.

^ I like it better than The Office. I got tired of the same ole gags from the Office. With P&R, you have infinite plot possibilities, because you have the whole town of Pawnee. The characters of Pawnee are hilarious.

Damn OP, I was waiting to make the thread, glad to see someone is as anxious for the new season as I am.
High expectations for this season, I'm not that nervous this show will fall off like The Office, better writers and characters at this point. I can't wait.

I'd say season 2 and 3 of Parks and Rec have surpassed The Office in it's prime, yeah I said it. I think it is consistently more funny and has nearly none of the cringe-inducing awkward moments that Office has from time to time. One thing that Parks def does better is that they make the city of Pawnee come alive, it's comparable to the Simpsons where you meet many of the local people of Springsfield and they become reoccurring players in the show.

Good assessment DangerousG, I've said the same thing about the Springfield comparison.

Where the Office has failed is originally it stayed true to the UK premise that there was a crew filming and it was supposed to be a realistic office environment and characters. What followed in seasons 4 and beyond was a transition to the conventional sitcom... the characters got too bizarre and it wasn't even plausible character development (not to mention, if it's supposed to be realistic, there won't be that much development). The show has its moments now, but it was flatout awful at times, they might as well add a laugh track.

Parks hasn't changed because they go after the traditional sitcom route, except they have a tremendous cast of characters, a seemingly never ending pool of new characters to create because of the town of Pawnee, and a better writing staff.

I LOVED the early Office seasons, so I'm skeptical to say Parks > prime Office, but I wouldn't be upset if someone did. Another season like last and the decision will be final, Parks > Office.

My bad bro, I just couldn't wait any longer! I haven't really watched tv since the season finale (Netflix FTW).

it's a good thing, the more we get participating in the season thread, the better.

And last year I put up the Swanson Pyramid of Greatest in my bathroom, reading a few of those each time I was in there was always good for a laugh or two.

Definitely one of the funniest shows. Trying to catch up before Season 4 starts, just started Season 3 this week.
