Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained (a Spaghetti Western) scheduled for release Christmas 2012

I wanna see Tarantino and Denzel team up :nerd:
If Denzel is smart he will avoid that man and any idea's he may throw in his direction like the plague because QT Mr. It right now and he's on the rise,he's got a solid fan base but who know's how people will feel in a few year's,about him personaly or his movie's.

Mr. it right now. This isn't 1992.

He has classics under his belt. He's already a legend. In a year his fan base will be even bigger.

Just came back from seeing this and I really enjoyed it. Whenever Sam Jackson was on screen it was straight comedy. He had the whole theatre in tears.

I can see why Jamie did it and Sam Jackson,I've just come to the conclusion that he doesn't give a damn,as long as the check clear.I can't knock him for it either.

I thought this thread was about the movie not comparing this director with that one. :rolleyes

Spike lee put out a movie i went to see called red hook summer, a movie that dealt with a current issue and a evil back story to sexual misconduct between preachers and children. The movie had a lot of imagery that i didnt think the public view should of seen, but that movie was a small release and not alot of people have seen it. this on the other hand had a opening release of christmas day, a day most people go to see movies, because its the only thing to do, it this movie mad me uncomfortable, mad, sad, laugh, and special to be black. Although i could tell many people in the audience was not really aware of what they were seeing, i for sure knew i was witnessing a masterpiece of insane mindflip that portrayed white people of the 1800's in a negative light top to bottom. Spike is my main man and i never will ever go against him, but if he had the chance to make this movie he would, and i doubt it would of came off as funny as this one. i never thought on a day like Christmas a slavery movie could give me genuine cinematic enjoyment but i really really like this movie, In a old school sense this movie did was good movies was supposed to do give you all the emotions i mention earlier.

Whoever said the movie was a rollercoaster of emotions was not lying. So many excellent performances and I applaud QT for showing slavery for what it was. This movie made me angry, sad, disgusted, laugh, hyped and at the end drained. I really think that everyone involved outdid themselves.

The audience I watched with gave it a standing ovation. There were people of all ages there. I was surprised that some people even brought children.

Two parts stood out to me that will probably go unnoticed or be overlooked and they were the apology from the Dr. to Django and the caged slave's look of approval. I think those were both QT's way of saying that he understands why some people may be angry about the film and that he hopes he handled the subject in a respectable way. Dope film.

This dude Quentin just made a classic movie.

This dude Jaime just created a classic character.

Give it a month and everyone has seen this movie, and you'll start hearing all the rappers comparing themselves to Django.

Like, wow. This movie was beyond amazing like dude said above it stirs so many emotions up in you.

Black people was super agressive coming out the theater.

Its nice to see people talking about the movie for once.

It was amazing, go see it.

You're the second person in this thread who mentioned Django's ****. Was it that troubling?

Didn't phase me.
