Think about it, they were gonna torture him, get the intel of the mission and then connect the dots. Sure jhevadi is ruthless but he made the right decision.
trueeeeee

good *** episode though

Brody is a cockroach for real though

Someone that can see the forest past the trees... My man...

I felt bad for the dude when he was asking about the torture. When Javadi shot the guy, I was hot at first, then realized why he did it.

I don't trust Javadi though. I keep thinking he will turn on Saul.

This show was more of a character study but I like how it's turned into more of a geopolitical spy thriller. The way the special ops was run was kinda cool to see.

The one thing I didn't like was Brody & the Navy SEAL taking in the cell... In real life that cell would've been monitored. Oh well, it's only a TV show...

not always, I'm more surprised they put them together, gives them more time to come up with a story..Im sure there was a guard outside the door tho.

True. Now that I think about it Javadi did him a favor. They were just gonna torture him to death anyway :smh: This way he went quick and easy. Plus he didn't want them to suspect anything.

How did they not see a group of people forming up with the drone

Edit; also, iranians dont find it strange that there were bombs coming out of the sky?
I'm assuming they moved there after the gun fighting started, which lasted a few minutes. Drone was scouting the area before hand, and then when the shooting went down the camera was focused on the iraqi's so they could shoot the missles in front of them.

Bombs were coming down on iraqi side, and either way iranian or iraqi, you do realize that neither country would find it strange or that uncommon for bombs to be coming out of sky right?

So did the Iranian soldiers cross over into Iraq when they grabbed brody and the other guy?

jhevadi did save the guy from getting tortured but if he's able to remove brody from there i'm wondering if he could've taken him out too since his cover was an al-queda member. I know it wouldn't matter since he wasn't important to the mission and was expendable.

The hellfire was right in the middle of that Iraqi patrol, right?  The Iranians probably wouldn't be able to tell who that was being fired at to begin with, may have thought that it was the iraqi's firing on the SEALs...

That firefight was going for a few mins like ^ said and the border was only ~200 yards away from where Brody and that poor dude were at the time so they rolled over there lights off to scope out what was going on.  The rest is hollywood dramatics.

YOOOOOOOOO

Javadi is a bastard. I really connected with the SEAL team delivering Brody. When son said he was down for the torture so he could hold out for 7 days to give him the opportunity I was like damn these dudes are some real soldiers down for the cause.

Them Iranians showing up confused the **** out of me as well. I never been so shook for somebody else when they turned on them lights and showed they had them surrounded. CIA is complete bull ****, how they not aware of a team forming form the Iranian border with army hummers and ****. They got that bootleg dial-up connection for them drones taking so long to provide an alt route, they ****** that team badly.

So basically the Iraninas crossed the border to see what the **** was going on or Brody was closer to the border than he thought. For a sec there I thought them Iraq soldiers had showed up and they were just gonna kill Brody/

Plenty feels and good acting in this ep. Carrie and Brody, Saul feeling defeated and missing out on the whole wild end, Brody going from a scared *** ***** to refusing to abort the mission.

What an episode.

Yep, good call.  He was dead the minute he was captured... and I think he sorta knew it too saying he hoped that he could last long enough for Brody to get the job done.

Harsh, but Javadi saved him from the pain, I guess.

Still... we can't trust Javadi.

Haven't seen the trailer for next week... don't think I want to either!

Word. The guys in 6 have to go through torture training before they're assigned to the unit.

I think Javadi will turn tables on Saul. Dude is a snake in the grass. My man held onto the grudge against his wife for 20+ years & stuck her with a broken bottle no less. You think Saul will get a pass from such vengeance?

yea he has to.

its not gonna be 3 episodes of everything working out lol.

i think saul's L's will exponentially get worse like pinkman status lmao

I'm just waiting for Javadi to screw Saul over.

Saul has leverage cuz what he has on dude can ruin him and get him tortured and killed but I can see him salivating at the idea of Brody killing the boss man so he can ascend to the throne. In that position he can say Saul's facts are lies and possibly kill anybody that wants to investigate and then get real wild with Iranian foreign affairs and w/e else.

I don't understands Saul's angle in putting Javadi in power. He had leverage when Javadi could have felt the ramifications for is actions against his own government. With Javadi in power that puts him in a position where nobody can hold him accountable. Maybe Saul is the mole after all.

He knows that if they find out what he did the people will riot and kill him. The people under him will want him dead

Yeah, it doesn't matter what position of power he's in. Saul leaks the info that he's working for the CIA and they'll kill that traitor.

Leak the info to who though; who's to say Saul's word would mean anything to the Iranian government? I guess I just see the scenario differently than you.

They have information that he was embezzling money out of the terrorist accounts for himself. That is a slap in the face to the families that have lost children to fight for "their cause".

Yeah, I figure that's what Saul is banking on. There is the chance once he rises to power he gets on his Stalin grind and starts silencing ppl early.

I imagine it wouldn't even be coming directly from Saul. He'd leak the info to reputable sources and/or straight to the Iranian army. A military coup is always possible. He could do it in a way their accountants just stumble upon it "on their own" and then watch the dominoes fall.

It is risky. I can see both sides of it.

Saul either underestimating Javadi or has something up his sleeve.

Javadi has no conscious at all and already had a vendetta against Saul. Willing to bet Javadi kills Brody after he assassinates the current guy in power.
