OFFICIAL HOMELAND Thread | FINAL SEASON

i think its more like a good cop/bad cop situation

like if the plan was for the isi to tamper with carrie's meds, and then have her arrested, then wouldnt the isi chick have taken custody of carrie instead of the guy?

he may not be up on everything (as far as them having saul) but i dont think he's completely oblivious to everything going on (i.e. the sandy murder, who the isi agent with the beard is, that the isi is in league with haqqani etc.)

you may be right and he is completely innocent, but i dunno i just think theyre setting us up for the nice guy who turns out to be like a sadist or something

Yeah up until this episode I thought the ISI guy was dirty but this episode has completely changed my view on him. I believe the way he's always dismissed accusations from Carrie & Saul w/o showing concern was just professionalism on his part & not letting outsiders "see you sweat" but the more & more factual observations from Carrie has made him realize she might be right.

No one noticed that distrusting look Carrie gave ISI chick in that meeting when she was texting?

Lulz at everyone thinking Brody might have been alive. Like come on yo, did you guys not watch the episode where he was hanged? Lmaooo.

Yep, and when Carrie and the ISI guy were talking on the curb, she's in the background on the phone with someone and she glances towards them and exits the screen

Come on we're talking about Homeland writers here. Anything is on the table.

 Nah man, it was obvious it was a hallucation with the events leading up to the scene. If she was tripping so bad that she imagined she killed a couple of guys w/ her pointing her hand & going "pheew, pheew" how could Brody be anything but a hallucination?

Bruh, the ISI is the devil. WTH!!!! :smh:

I thought the CIA recruits agents out of MIT, Harvard, Yale and other Ivy League schools. 'Cause the agents on this show are beyond dumb, thinking they making power moves yet they are always falling into the enemies trap. Seriously I'm supposed to believe that after Carrie got kicked out of the CIA for being bipolar that an intelligent person wouldn't guard their meds with their life. This is all after she believes that there is is a spy at the station. You know what forget that, what happened to the meds she was taking while laying up with Ayan?????

Just caught up by watching Ep 7. :smokin I liked it. Crazy Carrie is back!!! This was a fun episode. I actually went a little crazy when Brody appeared... I thought maybe I needed meds too. That scene when she thought she was shooting people was sad, crazy, & terrific.

Who would've ever thought Pulitzer prize winning playwright Tracy Letts would be so good at playing such a d**k?!?! I loved his line, “What’s unacceptable is the double dealing your country has been engaging with for decades”.

I loved how the writers humanized Haqqani, but I wish they went deeper. I was a little puzzled during the dinner scene when Haqqani was arguing that America wasn't in Saudi Arabia but Pakistan, that Haqqani had no further argument when Saul said he was Jewish.

 @ Haqqani getting yambs right in front of Saul. Poor fella...

I agree with some of "youse" saying Khan is essentially a good guy.

Ohhhh yea she was just doing finger guns....yea I can't wait for the next episode.

How many is in this season?

Yeah, best part of the ep was them humanizing Haqqani and that short little debate with Saul. I felt Saul sort of won though. I like how his "I'm a Jew though." was basically equivalent to /argument when Haqqani brought up the whole who got more blood on their hands Christianity vs. Islam points.

Saul def won with that

I enjoyed the back n forth though....even in real life I understand why Islamic extremist go after the western world BUT why do they kill their own the way they do (like Saul alluded to)

The camera shaking and ending were really dumb this episode. Overall, I enjoyed.. just didn't like the constant shaking to demonstrate that Carrie's losing it slowly. Ending was just weird. The husband is a real douche man.. hated that dude ever since he tried to flex on Don in Madmen.
All of this.

LMAO @ the Lockhart comments.

Homeland was officially renewed for season 5 :pimp:

I haven't watched the newest episode will catch up tomorrow.

Just finished reading all the new posts!

First off, I think we were all like WTF?!?!?!? when Brods popped up... I kept telling myself "it's a hallucination, it's a hallucination!"... but at the same time, I was thinking "just what if..."  Of course, this is Homeland, so you never know.  Like Zik said, that ISI lieutenant looks like a grown-up Aayan!  With Brody coming back, clearly the writers are dancing around the space-time continuum!

Just to be sure... the guy Carrie attacked in the hospital wasn't Quinn... but also a hallucination, right?

Still not sure what to think about this ISI Khan yet... not sure which side he's on.  Also, the writers can't imply that all of ISI is corrupt and working with the terrorists so I think Qureshi is the only rogue agent.  Maybe i can trust Khan.

I also liked how they humanized Haqqani... he almost had a rather rational convo with Saul.

its like ever since breaking bad ended in 5 seasons, everyone thinks shows have to end in 5 seasons now

few shows get to reboot like how homeland did, now it needs to end in one more season?
