ppl calling for the end of Homeland isn't something new  matters in a thread about homeland because?
That's not what those ppl were asking for    complaint addressedThis show has never been a love story or a family story.   except the cabin, jess's infidelity, dana's hit and run/attempted suicide/running away and chris's soccer games

The very premise and entire concept of the series is based on a U.S. pow coming back home and is secretly a traitor to his country.    carrie, not brody

Brody coming back and having to deal with his family is simply apart of the package.  is why people complained, and why they had to finally kill him off and get rid of his family
Umm yeah, you're gonna have to accept ppl have differing opinions. but youre the one hoping homeland doesnt start sucking now, when it has already passed what is the worst it could be.Hell On Wheels is better than a good deal of shows on Showtime. Mind you it's on it's 3rd season as well going strong.

I can't agree with that at all. but i need to accept differing opinions?
eyes.gif

The show has appeared to lose something it had the first 3 seasons   lose brody and the family and the baby plots

So you disagree with the creator, and showrunner.

So discussing Homeland in a Homeland thread is odd to you?

How could ppl complain about Brody coming back from being a pow when that was the premise of the show? :smh:

Homeland can be much worse than what you think. Whole reason why I brought up Showtime dragging it's series out too long. Again opinions, something you have a hard time dealing with.

So you disagree with the creator, and showrunner.  me. who is the main character, carrie or brody? who did the show introduce us to first? carrie or brody?

So discussing Homeland in a Homeland thread is odd to you?   complaining about how you think they show may or not start to suck in the future

How could ppl complain about Brody coming back from being a pow when that was the premise of the show?  the vest in s1, or escaping in s2

complaining about how you think they show may or not start to suck in the future
Bruh at this point you're disagreeing specifically with what the creator and show runner have said. I'd tell you to go back to see how this show was promoted but you won't but maybe you'll read or watch some interviews.

I'm not talking about who the main character is. You're specifically denying what the premise and entire concept of the show is and saying it was something it's not because you need to cherry pick elements of the show instead of taking in the outcome of story lines that were set up and followed through.

No matter how much you quote me and cross out lines isn't going to change that. You bring up something, I clarified it for you now you're telling me I'm complaining about the show possibly sucking in the future.
the vest in s1, or escaping in s2
That's not what I'm talking about. Can you seriously not follow my posts coherently? You bring up the family and love being apart of the story claiming the show is now a story about the family and love with "if anything the show is now based on what it was supposed to be on, espionage and international relations, not a love story or a family story" all I said was "Brody coming back and having to deal with his family is simply apart of the package." When I say Brody came back, I'm talking about S1 which is the damn premise of the series. He came back from being a pow, turned, of course the show is going to focus on how his family reacts. If that bothered you well I'd say try to have some patience or understand storytelling better. I didn't say anything about the vest or S2. This is where you're failing to comprehend what exactly I'm talking about.

If you can't accept the premise of the show, that's your problem.
what is there to discuss about ur opinion that homeland may drag on and suck? what is the point in that?
You said they were getting it right. You're basically saying the show sucked before and now it's good. I disagree. I never asked you for a discussion about it. Me bringing up what Showtime has been guilty of is only relevant because Homeland is on Showtime. I've brought up in other threads as well. For fans of these shows on Showtime they're very aware of it. (The same way fans of shows on AMC know AMC tends to favor their cash cows, BB and MM, and give them a bigger piece of the budget and that they will short a show if they can do well without getting more of the budget like TWD.) Unfortunately, it seems you're not. You just seem defensive about my reply. You should ask yourself what's the point of you replying to me if you actually don't have anything to say.
something irrelevant
How is it irrelevant when you were the one complaining about ppl wanting the show to end at a certain point? You brought that topic up. I simply explained to you since day one in Homeland threads some ppl who were watching were calling for it to end at certain points.

Again why should i or anyone else care about when YOU think homeland should end?

im currently enjoying it and dont want it to end anytime soon

doing nothing other than complaining/circlejerking about:

what a channel does with their budget or

how bad the show is or how it needs to end BEFORE it starts sucking

or what ppl from "day one" said

does nothing for the discussion in the thread other than take away from the ACTUAL SEASON.

you're right im not going to read or watch anything except the show.
So you disagree with the show runner and the creator and the show this show is originally based off of.
the premise of the show
If you want to make up your own premise I'm not gonna bother with that
brody is dead but you still think this show is about brody.
No I don't. You just seem to be unable to follow and comprehend what I've been saying.
you're trying to wash over how terrible the family and romance plots were and act as if they werent significant parts of the show
No I'm not. I was talking about one thing while you were talking about something else. You can't accept that. So you're basically telling me I have to address w/e you had a problem with while you ignore my statements you choose to reply to.
i didnt fail to comprehend anything, you did.
You failed to comprehend why I brought up other ppl talking about when they wanted the show to end, you're failing to comprehend the premise and concept of the series, which led you to fail to comprehend why Brody's family is involved with the story. You complain about a romance in the story as if it wasn't Carrie who fell in love with Brody so you obviously fail to comprehend what that had to do with the larger plot of the story and conclusion of that arc.

Your reply to me after I replied to you the first time is the perfect example of you failing to comprehend. I bring up ppl calling for the end of the show in the past since you want to bring up BB and it ending in 5 seasons. You go on to severely misunderstand thinking that what those ppl said is what I said and giving reasons for what those ppl wanted as if that's what I said I wanted. You still have yet shown to be able to grasp this. I can almost bet money you'll continue to misunderstand if you reply to me again about it
i gave brody the benefit of the doubt for the first season, at the end of which he SHOULD HAVE DIED. instead, they bring him back for S2, at the end of which, he SHOULD HAVE DIED. s3 he's back, but finally they get it right and KILL HIM OFF FOR GOOD.
I don't care what you liked or who you gave the benefit of the doubt. What is the point of you saying any of this stuff now? I'm not saying Brody shouldn't have died or that you should like him.
i never said brody shouldnt have returned to america, just the show.
Like I said before, I'm talking about one thing and you're talking about something else. W/e problems you had with past seasons has nothing to do with what I'm talking about
"have some patience and try to understand storytelling"
I can only surmise you're laughing this off cuz you think you can do that.
if you dont think the show is good now, then why are you watching?
I didn't say that. You said the show is getting it right now. I'm saying I don't think they're getting it right now. To me they had it right S1. This is a whole new direction the show is going and so far I can't say it's as compelling as it was when it debuted but if you bothered to read any of my other posts about this season you'd see that I'm giving the entire season a chance. I never once said "the season isn't good now but I'll keep watching and complaining". This is more failing to comprehend on your part btw.
how does anyone benefit from hearing you whine about how you feel showtime has handled OTHER shows in the PAST?
If you don't like it, sucks for you. I wasn't aware we were all required to post in threads in order for others to benefit.

This is why I said you obviously have a problem with differing opinions. You get real butthurt and proceed to say a whole lot of nothing why you make no point.
and how does anything you feel about it affect THIS SEASON'S discussion?
Seems to me you're picking and choosing when to read my posts. You get all sensitive when I talk about the show but ignore posts that are about the eps. If that's what you choose to do just admit it. No need to be stupid about it.
i dont care about your "amateur fan" status or your interpretation of tv channels and their budgets. the homeland thread isnt to discuss any of that.
"You should ask yourself what's the point of you replying to me if you actually don't have anything to say."

I'll add that you don't dictate to me what I post in any thread. So if I'm in here whining or complaining and you continue to reply to me instead of ignoring me 100% you're just being a lame that's whining about somebody else's posts. Grow up.
Again why should i or anyone else care about when YOU think homeland should end?
Another example of you failing to comprehend which I already mentioned.

I'm not talking about when I think Homeland should end. How is it possible that you could read my post, quote it and then still say the same dumb stuff which implies you don't understand English or something?

You complained about ppl saying Homeland should end now after it's getting good. I said ppl as in other ppl have always been calling for this show to end. I even say when they were in regards to what seasons. Somehow you interpret that as me saying when the show should end and that you should care about it. How you went from one to the other only you understand especially when you reacted about that topic in the first place and asked a question.

So   :smh: :x :rolleyes cuz nobody's reading comprehension is this poor.

These are all things you are guilty of since you've continued to reply and ask questions and all I've done is explain it and try to make it clear to you.

Perhaps you'll take a breath and be able to understand all of that now but chances are you'll just quote me again eventually pretending you still don't understand by asking more questions and reacting without thinking or maybe you're actually are this ignorant and will never understand.

If you've been really reading my posts you'd have seen that I do but again this is the Homeland thread so I'll talk about w/e I want about the show. I don't particularly care if you like it or not. Make use of the block feature if you really feel some way about it instead of complaining about it.

The back & forth between ya'll looks like the ramblings of John Doe from Se7en... Didn't even bother reading any of it... :smh:

Nah that **** is annoying in every series thread on NT. They're cool posters EXCEPT when they get in these back n forths. Take that **** to PM

Saul could've at least looked through the window of the door before just busting out the building not knowing his next move  :smh: I mean son showed so much clever forethought with the fake hanging had me really thinking he committed that and then drops the ball here cuz somebody is just giving him directions like he's blind.

He really should've trusted his instincts and offed himself. Poor Saul :smh: but  @ all those F yous to Carrie he was shouting out as they swarmed him. I can't help but think about all that Saul is the mole talk  Most dedicated mole in history. Never break cover.

ISI dude should've been told Carrie about the ambassador's husband. I thought he was gonna follow her out the meeting room for a sec instead of just tell her at the end. Seems we got another dude simping for her.

As fine as she is this smug Paki chick gets on my nerves. I wanna see her all hard off this. Hopefully when the prisoner exchange is botched.

Is ISI dude just salty Paki chick didn't give him the lowdown on what was happening with the drugs

Is that why be outed the Ambassador's husband

SO. Damn. Good.

I wish the last two seasons were this good...man, I can't wait till the next episode. That's how it's been every week

Is ISI dude just salty Paki chick didn't give him the lowdown on what was happening with the drugs

Is that why be outed the Ambassador's husband

No. He outed the ambassador's husband because he is one of the good guys.

Great episode tho. By far the best of the season. Hope that **** boy Dennis gets it in the worst way.
