OFFICIAL HOMELAND Thread | FINAL SEASON

i think im gonna force my girl to watch season 1 with me o i have a reason to have a refresher. Deff a great show this and boardwalk is looking food for fall tv

Just caught Season 1 marathon on Showtime.......

Great Show.............

I was thinking of all the legal jargon the Vice President said before bombing the school.............

WOW......:x

Just watched the entire 1st season this week.

VERY impressed by the show. I'm hooked.

A couple of things:

1) Claire Danes is a hell of an actress. Pulls off a believable wack-job.

2) Jessica Brody is B-A-D.

A little over a month away from the new season of Homeland.

......and Dexter

  *sucks teeth*.
2) Jessica Brody is B-A-D.
Morena Baccarin is indeed a problem.

Month away :smh:

I got soooooo hyped when I seen this thread.

ONeg be sure to update the thread title when it all goes down.

I hope Brody gets killed this season.

I'm worried about it, because it's on Showtime and it's about to become the face of the network, cuz it's getting a ton of acclaim, maybe some Emmys...and Weeds+Dexter are both ending soon.

I hope they don't drag it out to death like they did those shows, cuz something like this should only last like 3 seasons tops?

But hey, I said the same thing about Breaking Bad when it started, so...

SHOWTIME reached out to Venom Lyrix's site to stream their live premier even for season 2 tomorrow (does not debut until September 30th)

Will also include exclusive footage, will be tomm night at 6:30pm

Yall are crazy with this show should be ending soon talk.

Why exactly do you feel Brody must die or the good guys must win? Quite frankly I can see him actually succeeding with pulling off one or two terrorist attacks that actually prolong his time as being an undercover terrorist or something even more daring, like if they pull off a terrorist successfully becoming a huge public political figure and infiltrates the government so deeply he's critical to it functioning. Then after that they can have him go on the run and then die.

I can see this show going 5 or 6 seasons with these writers and the story lines they've developed.

Sundays are back for me, so much to watch :pimp:

i like this show. the direction/cinematography/scoring is terrible sometimes tho. if they could find someone to take that to the next level... the show would be elite.

i also think Danes character/performance is overrated.

i can see the appeal. but they go to extremes to make sure you know she is different or 'not right' ... and it comes off as overacting and reaching, imo. people like that are usually more reserved. they tend to have lapses of judgement and those lapses is what makes them 'crazy'. this chick is ALWAYS wildin. always blinking and rubbing her face... twiddling thumbs.

this chick isnt manic, she is in meth withdrawal.

what i hated, is that she was supposedly getting meds from her sister every week.... but still acting reckless. the meds should curve her craziness... or at least, settle that bltch down a bit. nope.

i have to rewatch the last few episodes of season 1. i remember what happened, just need to refresh.

I think you need to pay a bit more attention to her mental illness and what was said about it when it was revealed (cuz at the start we just saw her taking pills we didn't know what they were for). It isn't just some pill that cures it all. The pills curve the extremeness of the illness, it's doesn't make her normal (or w/e way you think she should be acting when taking the medication), it makes her functional in society. Her dad takes the pills regularly and he's just an eerie dude. Plus her job requires to be looking in to conspiracies, finding covert spies, revealing and discovering terrorist plans that are executed to be hidden and near impossible to find, that alone could make a person crazy. You're also ignoring that when normal she may just be a reckless person. Plenty ppl like that without any illness at all to use as an excuse.

There are plenty schizophrenic, bi-polar, mpd etc. ppl that when they take medication they still come off as weird or off unless they're taking powerful meds that make them numb and live life in a haze.

CAN'T WAIT.

I've read on Twitter that the second episode of this season is EPIC. The reactions I've read on that episode... can't wait! :pimp:

This chick is off her rocker  The look on her face after kneeing the dude in the nuts

I totally looked over Brody being Muslim being a big deal but I guess that's natural given the reveal that he's a traitor and terrorist. You can tell he still wants revenge for Iza (sp?) and Abu Nazir isn't totally blackmailing him in to getting help to commit other terrorist attacks.

Somebody find the name of the chick that is Brody's connect. I've seen her before in other stuff. She's beautiful.

Do they really do that in Quaker schools? Let them stand up and just say w/e ignorant thought that comes to mind without being corrected or informed? If so :smh:

Good season premier
