OFFICIAL HOMELAND Thread | FINAL SEASON

Sounds a little too much, but I think it's very possible. seeing that she helped Brody bury the Quran.

and in the season 2 preview we see Brody (In what I assume to be) an apartment? I wonder what that's all about. Maybe his wife left his *** for Mike..

and Carrie showing up at that apartment just makes me extra anxious to see what happens further in this season.

Looked like a hotel room. I figure the vice has him going somewhere, he's on the run (word to him covered in blood cleaning himself in gasoline  ), or it's a meeting place to smash Carrie.

Compelling television. You could tell that smile screamed "its so good to be back"

I have a strong feeling Brody's daughter will play a big factor in this season in terms of being on her fathers side and possibly used in a terror plot or at least assistance and the beckoning of Brody

i'm sure the daughter is gonna play the good angel trying to keep his life on the right path, while Nazir is playing the devil and trying to get brody to do all the bad stuff.

Damn. I caught the pilot episode and have been HOOKED.

This show is on point.

Its everything I wished 24 was.

Broady's daughter is the most annoying person on the show. Hands down.

My co-worker was constantly on me to watch this show last season & I missed it which was kind of a blessing in disguise. I finally broke down about 2-3 weeks ago & watch the whole season on VOD. What a great show. I'm glad I was able to watch every episode at my leasure. Took me about a week to watch all of them. Can't wait until the next season!

BTW, the actor that played Walker has a part on HBO's The Newsroom as someone on the staff...
THATS why I thought dude looked familiar.

Since nobody else looked her up. Her name is Zuleikha Robinson

As an Iranian-American, I have to admit I cringe at some of the things people say in this show relating to Muslims or Middle-Easterns.

It was definitely offensive how the white kid at the school said 'arabs, persians, same thing'...those are the kind of ignorant comments that make us feel very annoyed and offended.

However, it is a show and I understand that it is written for a specific reason and I respect that. I appreciate that they had Broady's daughter speak up about the issue kind of using this dialogue as a way of educating viewers who might have the same beliefs.

Very good show, enjoy it very much even with many of the cliche terrorist characters. This seems to be very intelligently written compared to most other terrorist shows who just put out what they think all Americans want to see...terrorists being caught and killed.

I enjoy the realism in that not all Americans have to necessarily fit in with typical religions in this country. There are a lot of caucasian, black, and ethnic races that do follow Islam and it is a shame that it is so negatively viewed in the general public.

I'm not sure if this show helps change that perception, but they do seem to show the good side of Islam as well as the bad. Thats a lot better than just showing it as evil and nothing else.

Yo I really need to know if they do that at Quaker schools. That is sooooooo reckless :smh: At this point I don't know if it's the media making the ppl that ignorant or if the media is just accurately portraying how ignorant the ppl are.

After watching the clips before shows/movies and after movies/shows when they do those 3-4 minute clips for their line up. I watched the one for Homeland where they talked about how it was based on the Israeli show Prisoners of War (Hatufim) and it was really interesting how they talked about the ppl's initial reaction at the concept and htne their 180 after a few eps. Of course the whole media is different there.

I mean the show is written pretty clearly to toe the line and it in many cases shows Islam in a nice light.

Brody is converted to Muslim, but that is NOT what makes him a bad person in this show.  That white kid saying those things is meant to be frowned upon.

I don't have the perspective you do, however I feel they do a good job in this show not offending the religion itself.

I understand bro, agree with you. I meant that the things the kid was saying was offensive, and theres a lot of offensive things said in the show, but I know the intentions of the writers themselves aren't to offend. They are just trying to make it as realistic as possible, because in real life people really do think that way.

Some things are very cliche, and some moments make me cringe, but overall I can tell that the writers intentions aren't to attack us. At least not on purpose.

Zuleikha Robinson is hot, just so naturally beautiful. Looking forward to seeing her in the show. Repped. Just got a chance to see the season premiere. Solid start to the season. What on earth is Brody doing in the woods covered in blood. Burying a body? Who's?

I was spoiled last year in that I was late watching the show & watched the entire season after it concluded on VOD. I'm going to hate waiting every week. I actually seriously considering just DVRing the whole season & not watching until the season ends. I don't think I can take the cliff hangers...

Every time dude says "mind if I meet you at your place" I feel like hes about to murk someone.

The ending of this 2nd ep was more shocking than the end of the ending of the 1st ep for Dexter. I guess you guys saying this show may only have 3 or 4 seasons might be right. To me it's way too early for Saul or anybody else in the CIA to have some concrete evidence that Brody has ties to terrorist, was turned, or anything like that. Now yeah some may say we never got to see the full vid and he may not incriminate himself but to me that's a hard pill to swallow given he was planning to kill the president and not just his cabinet but his entire administration. Previews do kinda hint he's on the run but I figure that's just throwing us off. Long season to go. If he isn't exposed next ep I'll assume that's cuz Saul is dead :smh:

Great ep.

The way this show is going is incredible. Either they have a short window for the pacing or I can't predict anything.

Carrie's scenes had me SUPER tense.

this episode was great, so tense. The scene in the war room where they were about to shoot Abu Nazir and then Saul finding the video...crazy stuff. So great.

This show seriously gets better and better. I absolutely love Sundays....Football all day, Sunday Night Football, Dexter, Homeland, Boardwalk Empire AND The Walking Dead is back next week! My DVR is putting in major work!!

The show revolves around 2 characters, Brody on the terrorist side, and Claire on the CIA side.

Brody's name got cleared completely by everyone investigating him on CIA side, even for a few mins last season I thought he was innocent in that one episode until he broke into dudes house at the end. Claire is out of CIA and barely able to do anything. I feel like Saul finding the tape at least brings the circle back together, whereas if they had no clue, it would just be Brody doing w/e he likes to help Nassir, until he gets caught and then arrested and series ends. Now they have a vague piece of evidence that puts all suspicions back on Brody, and we can see the cat and mouse game that we did last year. The show would still be intense if they had both sides going in completely opposite directions of each other, but it would end up with an anticlimactic ending imo.

eek.gif
at last nights episode.

I'm racking my brain thinking out this doesn't go to Langley IMMEDIATELY and start putting Brody under the microscope.

Saul HAS to know that Carrie was right all along now.

Carrie running back into the building while they were getting stalked in the streets.

Brody sending texts to Nazir.

What an episode.

I hope nothing happens to Saul.. although right now it feels like it'll either be him or Brody and Brody is the centerpiece of the show.
