OFFICIAL HOMELAND Thread | FINAL SEASON

I agree with the sentiment that the season finale wasn't season finale-ish in the sense that there was no "Oh ****" moment that usually happens in season finales, unless you count Saul's quasi heel turn apparently aligning himself with Dar Adal again to get his old CIA Directors job again.

I wasn't expecting anything major to go down in the finale because the main storyline this season was Haqqani and the hunt for him and that seemed to have been resolved for now at least in the last episode.

I really don't know what these dude's obsession with Carrie is? Everyone is in love with her.

Brody cheated on his fine *** wife with her, then Aayan, and now Quinn's *** is open.

He must heard the tape of Carrie having sex with Brody from a couple of seasons ago and gotten extra moist for the yambs.

Someone refresh my memory, why is everyone so concerned about Haqqani leaking a tape about Saul? I'm racking my brain trying to figure out what Saul did while he was captured that has the CIA so concerned.

The tape basically showed Saul was Haqqani's prisoner and that he was traded for terrorist prisoners since he's still alive.

That alone would completely ruin Saul forever. Dude was the one that had to pick up the pieces after the CIA got bombed and got ushered out due to it. Now the public finds out he got himself captured and then exchanged for prisoners? No way he gets his job back.

I mean they don't even have video of Saul fighting against his captors or the way he pulled a hissy fit on the runway

As for expecting something big in most finales yet the storyline was already over, knowing Homeland they would've done some wild **** like they usually do but they held back way too much or they blew their load one ep too early. For my money's worth, I would've had Dar kill Quinn right at the end  after he facetimed with Haqqani on blackberries.

I am going to be in the minority on this one.

I thought the Season Finale was perfect. ( glad it was over 50 minutes too)

I wasn't expecting some opening action scene from straight out of SOA either though.

Nah that epidode was garbage :x

Other than the Dar n Saul thing could have lived without all the other crap. Showtime knew what it was doing when the preview only showed scenes of potential oh **** moments. Little did we know another romance plotline, carries mommy issues, sister n sister argument, quin being a simp, carrie trying to act out a "normal" day.

First episode of the season i kept checking the dvr progress bar and was like "k ill give them the 15 min bc carries dad died," then 15 turned into 25 then 35, i was bored as hell. The whole time i was like now the writers want to hold back :smh:

Grade Z-.

Yeah, the tape leaking would've raised questions about Saul's competency being CIA director again.

The way they were talking about the tape you'd think Saul use play ball or shoot pool with Haqqani while he was captured.

Am I tripping or where they gonna kill quinn at the end? i think they underestimated how much of a fan favorite and had an alternative. ....

Maybe reshot that airport scene...seems a bit underwhelming for a finale episode .

The way they were talking had me thinking Saul and Haqqani eiffel tower a girl. :nerd:

maybe haqqani taped saul being in the room while he was smashing

also did carrie get her bipolarism from her mom?

edit: wouldnt the world know saul was a captive anyway since he was in the video of aayan getting killed?

i dont understand how dar adal is black ops super chief but cant find quinn, esp when he shows up at carrie's dad's funeral

on top of that, the secret ops guy can find him no problem, but when quinn ships out, dar somehow isnt notified?

or am i just not understanding, and that mission they were going on is in fact what dar adal wanted quinn for?

I thought it was a great season the finale was alright I didn't expect them to kill Haqqani or something drastic to happen.

Thanks Masterzik your response to the tape makes sense. I hope they don't kill Quinn in season 5.

Since everyone making jokes Saul and Haqqani had a gangbang on tape.

Dar knew quinn was with them

Also Carrie dad was bipolar

Kinda liked the finale...the quinn/carrie thing doesn't annoy me like Brody/carrie ...just wondering how next season will go

That's a a pretty good point I never thought about. You can see Saul on that video Quinn released, although whether people can identify him from that quality idk.

When Quinn was still over in Pakistan and hadn't returned yet he couldn't find him, but he went to Carrie because she would be first person he contacted. After Quinn got back he sent his guy to get him for that mission.

And yeah he was notified, he told Carrie he just got off the phone with the squad before they went dark.

episode was pretty weak.

why carrie look older than her moms tho

when she first showed up i thought there was a third sister or something

Even Alejandro knew about it back then, Dar is a chivato & as Tony said, a pig that don't fly straight, a hasa... :smh:

Episode was the bomb... This might be the best season of the series...

I knew that guy looked familiar :wow:

 That's why I said what I said a page before these pics & comments... F Murray Abraham has made a career of playing snake in the grass dudes well. Hated his punk *** in Finding Forrester.

Anyway, I thought the season finale was gravy. There were so many dramatic elements in the previous 4-5 episodes, each of which could've acted as a season finale.

This made me appreciate last night's show.

I actually thought Carrie seeing Saul at Dar Adal's house was chilling... Saul has always been Carrie's beacon of moral decency & to see him sitting with the devil shook her... That in it of itself was shocking.

Saul sold out so he could get back in. It seems that way at least.

Dar is a Sith lord man... The way he seduced Saul by saying, "Not every choice we make is blessed with moral clarity... Come back. Lead us. The agency is waiting for you with open arms."

I will say the show seems to have trouble whenever it veers away from the espionage stuff but on the whole this was an excellent season & a satisfactory season finale.
