OFFICIAL HOMELAND Thread | FINAL SEASON

at last nights episode.

I'm racking my brain thinking out this doesn't go to Langley IMMEDIATELY and start putting Brody under the microscope.

Saul HAS to know that Carrie was right all along now.

Carrie running back into the building while they were getting stalked in the streets.

Brody sending texts to Nazir.

What an episode.
I don't know how they did it, but this had me out of my seat.

Scene was SUPER tense.

The ending of this 2nd ep was more shocking than the end of the ending of the 1st ep for Dexter. I guess you guys saying this show may only have 3 or 4 seasons might be right. To me it's way too early for Saul or anybody else in the CIA to have some concrete evidence that Brody has ties to terrorist, was turned, or anything like that. Now yeah some may say we never got to see the full vid and he may not incriminate himself but to me that's a hard pill to swallow given he was planning to kill the president and not just his cabinet but his entire administration. Previews do kinda hint he's on the run but I figure that's just throwing us off. Long season to go. If he isn't exposed next ep I'll assume that's cuz Saul is dead :smh:
Great ep.

The show revolves around 2 characters, Brody on the terrorist side, and Claire on the CIA side.

Brody's name got cleared completely by everyone investigating him on CIA side, even for a few mins last season I thought he was innocent in that one episode until he broke into dudes house at the end. Claire is out of CIA and barely able to do anything. I feel like Saul finding the tape at least brings the circle back together, whereas if they had no clue, it would just be Brody doing w/e he likes to help Nassir, until he gets caught and then arrested and series ends. Now they have a vague piece of evidence that puts all suspicions back on Brody, and we can see the cat and mouse game that we did last year. The show would still be intense if they had both sides going in completely opposite directions of each other, but it would end up with an anticlimactic ending imo.
What is vague about this evidence? It's a confession video. Only thing is it's about a crime he didn't go through with. The way I see it they're not even gonna question him at first. Show it to the vice pres, have everything he's doing be monitored/recorded, then they can either follow him when they meet Nazir's connect or trace his text to Nazir warning him of the kill team in Beirut.

From what I remember about the full confession he didn't describe the bomb blowing up or anything like that did he? Didn't he just say why he didn't like the policies and actions of the current administration. The fact it was found in a terrorist home is one thing, but I don't think the tape incriminated him, but yeah they definitely are going to track/trace/monitor him from here on out, if Estes is too arrogant, Saul still will maybe with Carrie's help.

dont know why but imo brody kills mike next ep..maybe he catches them kissing..its still to early to kill saul.

i hope brody does die......
i said this before great show but i can't watch this for 5-7 seasons....cat and mouse same people? and now the entire CIA knows he turned......end it season 2.....season 3 start a whole new homeland with different people plot so on......if you watched american horror story you know what i'm talking about
more shows need to do this give your story in 1-2 seasons then something new

From what I remember they never actually showed the full confession vid. They cut away. I might be wrong honestly but that's what I'm sure of.

I have a feeling there isn't much on that Brody confession. I think it's him just expressing some unpopular opinions on the war on terrorism & extoling the virtues of Islam.

BTW, there is no way Brody would be able to bring a cell phone into a situation room, especially with a highly top secret covert operation where a kill is going to take place...I had to tell myself this is Hollywood...

^ We got to see almost the entire thing last season though, didn't we?

He referenced the drone strike and obviously says "you would have read things about what I've done".

Lots of implication in there.  None of which Saul is going to take lightly to say the least.

Episode 2 was...

When Carrie ran back in, I was goin' nuts...

Yeah, the video won't be a "confession", but will cause Saul to back Carrie more... leading to her reinstatement, perhaps?

I was trying to see if I could find the Brody confession vid, but nada...Found this though that got me hype...I wonder if Brody & Roya Hammad will have something going...

Finally caught up to the newest episode. This was probably my favorite so far. So tense throughout, only complaint was Brody getting that text sent/having a phone.

What I was thinking. I mean, Abu Nazir is the main terrorist, Brody's just a piece in the puzzle. The story can easily be continued without Brody, even expanded.

I agree it'll be a bit weird but they could shift the focus back to the CIA and just have another terrorist target, but I hope Brody does live and if so I think the show would have to be done in 3 seasons max...I want it to go for a while bc it's my second favorite show right now, the story is :wow: :smokin

Emmy or not, I don't see them killing-off their main character like that... Abu Nazir might be their ultimate target, but the show has been about Carrie and Brody.  Too big of a risk for the writers  network take that apart.

you never know brody gets killed and his daughter takes up where he left off. I have a feeling she is going to get involved some way. She has gotten a lot of air time i cant remember seeing the son once this season.

Wow, can't recall the last time a prediction of an ep due to the sneak peek to the next ep where I have been so wrong.

The whole delivering dude to the safe room was too wild. To me it's like how dude aint saying to himself "This is my life??!!!" **** was too crazy to me. Very good ep though.

 @ Carrie about to commit that and then getting that pay off in the end. I knew the Brody tape would completely incriminate him.

I've learned to stop second guessing this show. I think I know whats going to happen then I have no idea.

The biggest drop today was that the Brody's inside woman...WORKS FOR THE LOCAL CBS NEWS STATION. WHAT?

But on the real? Brody's daughter is HELLA annoying. I literally can't stand her scenes. Shes just so damn probing.

i hope that eventually this season goes past the brody/carrie story and go for more in-depth look as to WHY brody changed sides
i was watching the scene where carrie is looking at the vid saying "i was right" while brody was talking about the 80+ children that were blown up
and that got me thinking about the vice-pres and how he should be accountable for something
