Chet Baker - Let It Snow

Dexter Gordon - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas

I know this isn't music, but some really great Christmas cheer from the folks at WestJet to some of their customers.

Paul McCartney - The Christmas Song (Chesnuts Roasting On An Open Fire) ft. Diana Krall

Such a tasteful iteration of the classic.

Studio vid but shorter version of the song.

Paul Desmond and Jim Hall Quartet - Samba de Orfeu

RIP Jim Hall. You lived a long life... There are a lot of more well known songs he's played on but this is one of my favorites of his.

Russell Malone - O Christmas Tree

That name doesn't ring a bell, but RIP nonetheless. Plus that Paul Desmond track you posted is really nice. I'm going to have to look more into him and find more of his work

Julie London - I'd Like You for Christmas
I was looking to see if she ever did a Christmas album, all I could find was this song

Dexter Gordon Quartet - Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

John Coltrane - Greensleeves (live @ The Village Vanguard 1961)

Sonny Rollins - You Do Something To Me & Where Are You (with Jim Hall)

Paul Desmond and Jim Hall Quartet - Samba de Orfeu

Oh man, had no idea.  I listen to that cut a LOT too.  RIP.

Duke Ellington - The Nutcracker Suite & Sugar Rum Cherry (Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy)

Won't be long until St. Nick makes his yearly run...

Love the way Duke reworked these songs as only Duke could do. Hope everyone is having a nice holiday season.

Ellis Marsalis - Silent Night (featuring Jason Marsalis & Bill Huntington)

This has become my 2nd favorite Christmas jazz album behind Vince Guaraldi's Charlie Brown Christmas soundtrack.

Jimmy Smith - Jingle Bells

Merry Christmas & happy holiday fellas. Hope you get to spend some quality time with family & friends. Maybe even do something for the less fortunate. Have a great new year too...

Soil & Pimp Sessions - Last Long

This is the best group to play when you're getting stuff done around the house, cooking, driving home in rush hour... Last long indeed... Love the drumming in this song... I find myself beating the crap out of my steering wheel & gear shift in the car...

Rachel Brotman - Seasons

Something new... Her album will or just dropped...

Jose James - Do you Feel (Live on Soundcheck in The Greene Space)

Also please check out & buy Japanese trumpeter Takuya Kuroda's Blue Note debut when it comes out February 18th. I've posted this song & some other stuff by Kuroda previously. He's part of Jose Jame's band but does solo work. He's played with Ben Williams, Francisco Mela, & Junior Mance. He has two albums for sale on iTunes & they're good albums.
