OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

You shouldn't need to put the flame suit on. This is what Kanye does now and _'s continue to give him a pass for it because their idol can do no wrong.

If I know something is on an upcoming album, I don't bother listening to it unless it's a single. If there's a chance it might be on the album...I'll try to avoid it. _'s don't have any type of patience man and 'Ye ain't helping y'all out.

Why shouldn't we give him a pass cause YALL don't have patience? That's on yall. MBDTF was an amazing album. Didn't matter if it was all brand new, heard 3 months prior or 2 years before. It only takes away from the 1st listen.

Yeah but the first listen is the most important one for most people...

Well those people should learn to be patient and not always wanting to hear the new music before their friends if that's something they value don't ya think?

I didn't touch those snippets. I want to hear the full finished product.

Also don't like how Mr. Hudson isn't on it but CyHi is twice?

?

I think you got me confused. When I mention cats not having patience, I'm referring to dudes thirsting to hear leaked tracks and snippets from an album. I don't fall in that category.

I'm with you. But Kanye pulling the okey doke on _'s isn't cool either.

What he did with Jay on WTT, as far as the release, was ideal IMO. 2 singles and you ain't hear anything else on a 16 track album. He went backwards with Cruel Summer...and if it really is 12 tracks w/ no bonus joints then

.

I haven't heard Clique or New God Flow yet. I knew those were on the album. I could've sworn Way Too Cold was for Khaled's **** but it's whatever since that's the other single. I would've laughed at you if you told me Don't Like was gonna be on Cruel Summer. **** don't even make sense.

apparently Cudi isn't on this as much is because he's still signed to Universal even though he's still a member of GOOD Music, which is now under Def Jam

Yea, that G.O.O.D. Friday move for MBDTF was unacceptable.

Since Cudi isn't doing major work on it, I don't really care that much.

Im just hoping some / most tracks are sounding like the G.O.O.D. Friday tracks when they dropped every week. Im keeping an open mind about it because I know that might not happen, but it would be nice.

When you hear the songs doesn't have any correlation with the quality of them. If you don't want to listen or want to hear 12 "new" tracks for an album.....don't go digging for them.

This happened for MBDTF and it was still amazing and it happened for WTT and it was still amazing. I'm not saying this is going to be a classic album but some of the tracks that have already surfaced are really good and there's a potential for it to good. But I agree with most others on here, the weak line up of guest stars has me scratching my head. Big Sean and 2 Chainz are terrible rappers that get over because they're backed by Kanye. Nobody cared when his name was Tity Boi but now he changes his name and gets Kanye behind him and all of a sudden he's the next big thing. He's still a bad rapper with a bunch of trap beats. It's bass music for the new generation. No thanks.

MBDTF had sort of a narrative to it. So when you listened to the album as a whole, hearing some songs where they were placed on the album gave them new life.

There doesn't seem to be any thread connecting these songs, other than the fact they have a bunch of artists on each.

And what songs were released early for WTT? Otis, That's My *****, and two bonus tracks (HAM/Joy)

I can overlook hearing a few tracks already because I actually like most of what I heard so far. Personally I think if you enjoy it when you hear it out the gate you'll like it when you hear it in the flow of the album. Now if you didn't like the tracks during the preview stage, or if those tracks were the only tracks you like (like how I felt with MBDTF) then I can see why someone would be upset.

I never had a problem listening to leaks. A good song is a good song doesn't matter when I hear it. Cartoons and Cereal came out like 8 moths ago, if its on Kendrick's album I'm still gonna bump it like its new. In this case the problem might be the push back. The album shoulda came out in mid July. They probably think they have to put some songs out to keep people attention. I'm not into judging albums based on the tracklist. Everything I've heard so far is good anyway, especially New God Flow.

Yea I tend to avoid the leaks for albums that I know I'm 100% buying, but with "Don't Like", "Cold", and "Mercy" being played a massive amount, you're down to 9 new songs, so i understand where people are coming from with that.

One thing I think is funny though is people who whine about people making judgments based off track listings, when you can very well get a good idea about an album from the track list including the guest features and production credits. It's like getting a decently detailed outline for a test. Sure it's not the test, but you still get a good idea about it.

Yeah...Kanye made 2 Chainz hot. He's also responsible for my dog taking a **** at the right spot this morning instead of the neighbor's front yard.

If there was anything other than the singles (Otis/HAM) released early then that's news to me.

Kanye helped me decide what to eat for breakfast.
