OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

Idk man, Jay is notorious for standing next to whoevers the hottest at the moment, but business is business and I'd imagine having Ye featured on that will hurt more than it would help. Ye has a cult following at this point but the way that media makes him out to be and turned him to a monster, people DO focus on the negatives more.

When Ye drops a new hot song:

"**** Kanye he's arrogant"
"He married a sloot"
"He's a ***"

Dude is just passionate about what he does and I agree that people try to box him in.

Jay plays it safe but does a lot of social work behind the scenes (look it up), he doesn't brag nor leverage it.

Taylor Swift & Beyonce = $$$ no matter what

JT = never a bad look, puts the icing on the cake

Kanye = though we know he CAN add value to it, the general public will trash it more than love it.

Sounds like gossip, but could be interesting. I can understand Beyonce, Jay and Swift, but JT? Iono.

"Kanye West might start having regrets after he infamously crashed Taylor Swift's VMA acceptance speech in 2009. The rapper is reportedly reeling over a potential collaboration with Swift, Jay Z, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake to create the "Mount Rushmore of music."

According to Hollywood Life, the 37-year-old is upset that Jay Z did not include him in the project. The rapper is feeling left out after learning that he isn't being considered a part of Jay Z's music plans.

"Kanye doesn't see things over his ego very often –– if ever –– and he is upset that he isn't in the club with Taylor, Jay Z, Beyonce and JT," an insider explained.

Since Kanye West crashed Swift's speech, the "1989" singer has reportedly despised the rapper.

Although Jay Z has toured with Kanye West in the past, he knows how big a star Swift is and has apparently switched up his loyalties," reported Entertainment Wise

"Jay Z did his thing with Kanye and he is moving on to bigger and better things," a source said.

"Jay Z is a great business man and Taylor is what music is all about right now. Jay is not going to miss out on that. Kanye is currently being left on the back burner. His ego is catching up to him and ruining some opportunities," the source added.

It was also reported that Jay Z doesn't want to "ruffle any feathers" by bringing along Kanye West into his "Mount Rushmore" idea.

Hollywood Life previously stated that West had been jealous of Swift's success. Jay Z on the other hand, couldn't be happier to start collaborating with her.

The "Shake It Off" singer recently celebrated her 25th birthday, where she posted photos on her Instagram, partying with Jay Z, Beyonce and Timberlake.

"Taylor Swift's birthday was not just a fun celebration, it was also a business meeting for her, Jay Z, Beyonce and Justin Timberlake. Name me four other people that are more powerful in the music world right now. Jay Z is obviously aware of this and wants to work with them," the source said.

Do you think Kanye West should be included on the "Mount Rushmore of music?"

 Of course Jay would do that. Then when Kanye has something amazing in the works, he'll hop on that too. Jay has no $hame.

I'm not sure Taylor Swift's music would be considered the Mount Rushmore of music. She's incredibly powerful right now (and for the last several years), but her career is not Mount Rushmore historic.

White girls worship her the same way hypebeasts (god I hate that word) worship Ye, guess who's spending that money though?

Kanye needed Jay 10 years ago to get hot.

Jay Z needed Kanye 5 years ago to stay hot/relevant.

They don't need each other anymore.

Kanye is going to stay relevant as a cultural icon because of his catalogue. He has 6 albums that, love them or hate them, are all critically acclaimed by white media and white publications. Now that he has a baby with Kim K, as long as the Kardashian name is in the tabloids, he stays relevant.

Jay Z is going to stay relevant as long as he is married to Beyonce.

The above is purely from a social media perspective. Music wise, personally Jay's music today to me is boring. He's like the old dude at the gym playing basketball who you know use to be good but is a liability on the court now. Old dude just there to remind you how good he use to be.

Meanwhile I still look forward to Kanye albums because he is too passionate towards creating greatness to ever disappoint me as a music consumer. One thing is for sure, Kanye would never put out an album out of pure laziness/to make money.

Jay Z could still stay relevant musically. He can still spit. It's just not a main priority for him, and it kinda shows.

I woulda agreed with this last part before Yeezus. He sounded pretty lazy on there.

I felt like Yeezus had a specific direction and sound. Wasn't lazy at all. The entire soundscape was contrived to be stripped down, bare, just raw, to reflect his frustration with his business ventures. Plus, Yeezus was the follow up to My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, which is globally recognized as Kanye's, even Hip Hop's, new Masterpiece. Closest thing to perfection in a long time. So to follow up MBDTF with another attempt at perfection, no matter how hard he tried or how great it was, would automatically be considered a failure because there is no way you can top MBDTF. So Yeezus made total sense to me.

If you saying Yeezus was just one big *** rant I get that but still the lyrics on that album are bad. I know Ye didn't want to make a typical Hip Hop album and he's never been a great pure rapper but he's always had a message. Black Skinhead and New Slaves are the only songs where he had anything to say, the rest of the album was just a bunch of random ****. Even though I don't like most of the production on it I can tell he put in the effort but as far as what he's actually saying it sounded real lazy IMO.

Guess Cruel Summer doesn't exist.
Not entirely his album but a certified cash grab.

Yeezus was only bad because MBDTF was a classic and the instrumentals for Yeezus were ew.. If you try to give it an unbiased listen it's decent.

i was just thinking earlier today I would love to hear an instrumental version of Yeezus... ..if someone has it LMK!

ill be searching in the meantime
