OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

I know everyone in here is a true music connoisseur so this is probably obvious, but I'll post it for the uninformed anyway.

Anyone heard Dark Sky yet? Pretty decent, already liking it more than HOF

yeah heard it when it leaked yesterday very solid album one of the better 2015 releases

my 2 fav right now is sorry for the wait and dark sky
Just got through listening to it, I only didn't like 3 songs, everything else was straight.

Jay has been "bigger than rap" on a lot of levels for some time now.

I think they're both excelling at what they chose to excel at.

This sums it up nicely.

And take excelling with a grain of salt. Because I'm starting to wonder if either is really choosing to excel in music anymore or if they've basically both moved on to other priorities....

I would be cool if Jay just stopped doing albums and did his usual Kanye, Jeezy, and Ross features. His features are still fire but I think he's giving us enough albums and MCHG didn't have any replay value. With Kanye I don't know lol. Sometimes his raps are good sometimes they're not. I'm not falling for this "he's more than just a rapper" excuse. He's always been more than just that but his verses were never this lazy. Even on College Dropout, you can tell he was still learning how to be a rapper but the content was still there.
kendrick so dam overrated i swear

his new **** sounding like new slaves changed his life

Kendrick BEEN making **** like that though.

I'd much rather listen to Kendrick right now than Kanye.

At least he acknowledged that the Yeezy Boost look like Uggs in the interview. Drake Ye album. i'm cool with that.

sean ain't my cup of coffee. not denying his talent but I just don't get down with his joints. Tolerable as a feature though. maybe his next album will change my mind, will listen when it officially releases.

Watching this interview, dude def can't say what he really wants say because of his Kardashian ties. The way he stumbled and stuttered over the TygaxKylie situation and gave that ignorant reply, because of his relationships with these people.

And he knows damn well Amber was keeping it real about what she was saying, but of course his wife being Kim he put on that cape (as he should I guess) and degraded his ex. Like most men anyway.

Respect to Charlamange calling him out on his b.s too. Hopefully Ye stays humble to his word. Great interview

Man illphillip illphillip you don't want to know my opinion on whether anyone is really trying to excel anymore besides Kendrick.

Maybe Cole but that just makes his snooze fests all the more upsetting.

What do you mean? That most artists are just mailing it in? Can't say I disagree.

Breakfast Club interview is good. I respect that he was willing to address a lot of the questions that he did. I respect that he rolled with the jokes etc.

Respect that he can admit that he wasn't loyal to Dame. Though the behavior itself is still questionable. But I like that they're rocking together again.

As I've said, I'm a fan of "Only One". So it was dope hearing him talk about that a bit more.

His contradictions are crazy though. He speaks ill of the Grammys. But performs twice on them. And just the way he talks about the Grammys is crazy to me. He holds them in such high regard. That approval of others in music and in fashion really is that important to him.

And admitting he hadn't even heard the Beck album and was still on that ******** just shows me what a funny style dude he can be.

Ironic too because people like to claim that Yeezus gets hate from people who haven't heard it.

Did this liar really say Beyonce hangs up pictures of Kim for inspiration?
laugh.gif
HAHAHA! Doesn't he mean the other way around.

Since this is the Kanye thread I'l post this hear...

That was a great interview with Kanye. I died when dude said he ain't even hear Beck's album.

He can't say that about Amber when Kim had a very similar path. Sex tape and being a groupie is what really got her going as well. No sex tape, who knows where Kim is today. Then talking that **** about Amber being dirty when he's all crazy and twisted over her during that "MBDTF" album (his best album) so thank you Amber.

Either way, good interview. One of the best I've seen in a while.

Yup. No matter how you cut it both of these chicks are not talented at anything and they got famous off of looks/selling sex.

Ye stans must be confused as hell right now, they always talk about "we don't go to him to hear bars" and then they ask about the album and he pretty much just says bars

Yup.

Kanye stans go above and beyond to defend him and in that interview he contradicted stuff that they try to defend. The bars thing, running up the grammy stage, saying Yeezus was "Taking his ball and going home". He know Yeezus wasn't good.
