I didn't hear it either and I actually didn't know he released it. Will check for it now, but B did have one of the best albums/projects/movement of the year and I normally don't care for her music.

Still doesn't really excuse all of that madness. B's album was major. But I'm not going to ***** about Beck winning an award instead of her if I haven't even heard Beck's album.

That's just rational, adult thinking. Again, you can question a lot about the Grammy's. But Kanye didn't (at least in that moment). And what he did question was completely misguided ("artistry"). And apparently completely misinformed (hadn't even heard Beck's album). And it's more complaints, no solutions. Which is exactly the type of **** that rubs people the wrong way.

"Wolves" verse is dope whoever wrote it. But he killed the delivery. Though what I've found is that I'm not feeling the recorded version of the song as much as what I heard on SNL. I'll wait for the FINAL FINAL version to make that call.

As for Vic, he's been bubbling for a bit. Not THAT familiar with his work. I know he was on Acid Rap somewhere with Chance. He was more on some rap **** a few years ago but has moved away from that a bit.

This is probably his biggest and most recent release. I **** with it because I'm a fan of old school Chicago/Detroit House (Inner City etc.). You'll see a gang of his other vids on the right.

What do you mean? That most artists are just mailing it in? Can't say I disagree.

Breakfast Club interview is good. I respect that he was willing to address a lot of the questions that he did. I respect that he rolled with the jokes etc.

Respect that he can admit that he wasn't loyal to Dame. Though the behavior itself is still questionable. But I like that they're rocking together again.

As I've said, I'm a fan of "Only One". So it was dope hearing him talk about that a bit more.

His contradictions are crazy though. He speaks ill of the Grammys. But performs twice on them. And just the way he talks about the Grammys is crazy to me. He holds them in such high regard. That approval of others in music and in fashion really is that important to him.

And admitting he hadn't even heard the Beck album and was still on that ******** just shows me what a funny style dude he can be.

Ironic too because people like to claim that Yeezus gets hate from people who haven't heard it.

I will say though, he kinda explains the performing on the grammys. They invite big stars to sell advertising and vice versa that's why the stars go on there. For pub and promo of upcoming projects.

Illegitimate or not it still is the biggest music awards show out, just like the oscars are ******** but people still watch and revere them.

illphillip I agree that he should've not gone up there or said anything about "artistry" but he said what he felt at that moment. I don't think he is trying to be PC like Jay so he may regret what he said afterwards, but I would hate for him to censor himself in the moment. If that makes sense.

He and everyone in rap/hip-hop should question the motives of the Grammies. Let's have all these big acts sit up in the front row for the cameras but not acknowledge there music. :smh

Would you have had him censor himself during the Katrina incident? He definitely gooned it up at the Grammy's/T Swift though.

He's had a weird relationship with the Grammy's. I think before the last show it was 5 or 6 years since the last time he attended. One the one hand he DEFINITELY enjoys the validation that they give with his 21 Grammy's. On the other, he believes that he's been snubbed several times, most notably with MBDTF not being nominated (and winning) album of the year. It's self serving but you know he's throwing a fit because he doesn't want that 7th solo snub

I didn't see anything particularly admirable about the Bush incident either. But that's just me. These shock value moments in a vacuum are just that to me.

Puff's "Vote Or Die" campaign was something that seemed to lead to actual social change. That I find admirable.

Though I will say in that case, what he said was not as misguided and misinformed as this recent incident. And I didn't disagree with the actual words.

The fact that he's still on this nonsense is just ridiculous to me. Kanye will ALWAYS have a platform to express his views. Yet he seems to choose poor moments and poor wording to do so.

And seems to not be learning from his mistakes. A.K.A. maturing.
