OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

Best song on the album had no rapping. Teyana and John :x

This. Bliss is hands down the best song on the album and even though Teyana's voice is weak it just works. Then Legend just gets on and goes nuts :x Song is too tuff.

I like Cudi.

If you want me to just make a simple comparison, Cudi puts out better music than Sean. And thats all there is to it for me. Call him a rapper or not, I just like what he puts out a lot more than what Sean puts out. Also dudes in here making Sean out to be a better rapper than he actually is, Sean isnt even that gifted with the bars

AKNC, MOTM 1, MOTM 2 > Finally Famous, Detroit (which was a fairly good project)

Cant speak on Cyhi since I havent listened to any of his stuff.

Randon....

But I'd LOVE to hear a Fun. x G.O.O.D Music collab--- they'd be perfect on the hook.... truth be told their album sounded like some **** 'Ye would do

Copped today, thought the cover wudda been embossed but it's not. Feels sturdier than the usual card cases though.

SMHHH. If anything shows lack of effort its this. Making it look like its going to be embossed but then not actually doing it? WHY?

If you're going to go through the effort to design such a cover, then the least you could do is actually do it right.

That CyHi verse on Sin City sounds exactly like something KanYe would have wrote.

Y'all hate on CyHi alot on here. Dudes voice is awkward (especially considering he's from Atlanta) but I rather hear him than listen to Big Sean's corny punchline, no direction having verses.
I'll never understand the hate for Cyhi.

Dude has released some of my favorite projects of the last few years.

I'm convinced people just aren't listening OR they havent adopted him because he hasn't be promoted by "the powers that be" as someone to listen to.

I'll just wait until the bandwagon comes into town.

Cyhi is just slept on it's really not a new concept  I've never personally listened to dude but it would be a damn shame if he's actually nice and you have tiny sean pretty much getting all this spotlight and he is absolutely TERRIBLE for a FACT. I'm a Cudi fan but I'm just not feeling creepers, at this point I think dudes are under the absence makes the heart grow fonder syndrome because it's just not moving at all.

He didnt merk nothing on this lp, but CyHi can spit tho. Keep it a hunnit. His voice can be annoying, and you may not like his energy or vibe, but he got bar. He's on par wit Big Sean if you ask me. Got some highlights, but nothing special.

The album was cool. Some of you really exaggerated about "Higher", the hook is cool & the song
is dope overall. "The One" "Bliss" & "To The World" are the best tracks on here

Throw Nas, Jay, Drizzy or Ross on Bliss

better yet Ross & Drizzy need the instrumental

So that's what it's called now? Cudi is MUMBLING about drugs and nonsense. Sean is at least audible.
Cyhi is plenty better than Cudi. His verse on "Rise" from Self Made 1 is fire. Cudi hasn't been nice since like 2008 (whenever his first mixtape was)

get out of the hip hop bubble and expand homie.........

Cudi is not a rapper! He has his own lane

His music is more like a drug itself

His song writing and hooks are 2nd to none! He reminds me of the old funk/disco/70's/Hippy singers they take you on that high journey where the instruments compliment the mood

if you have majority hip hop on your itunes 9/10 you wont like Cudi

 iTunes library is over half classic rock/funk/prog rock/jam bands. Been drumming in rock bands for six years, studied rock beats and studied under rock drum teachers with doctorates and albums. Grew up on The Beatles/Pink Floyd/Frank Zappa, currently enjoy Fleetwood Mac, Radiohead, Hendrix, Rolling Stones, Black Keys, Jack White, etc too many to list right along with the Kanyes and Kendricks. But enough about me, cause it doesn't matter.

I'm not mad at you. 98% of NT music forum are blind rap lemmings that barely ventured outside of rap with Frank Ocean but ran back when they heard he was gay. But I gave up trying to talk anything besides rap on THIS board a while back. People just aren't trying to hear it. I'm glad that you are here to talk about something different.

But I want to be clear... Cudi is not a rocker or a soul singer. You can have your opinion, but to compare him to a 70s funk voice (Curtis Mayfield? Otis Redding) is IMO a complete absurdity. And is sort of reflective of this forum in general. Nice chattin'.

I'm pretty indifferent to CyHi just cause I haven't listened to a lot of his stuff, though i did DL his most recent tape and was pleasantly surprised. I guess there's just not a strong enough appeal there for me, unless I check the features and production. I only check out Cudi and Sean's stuff cause they gets gassed up so much and I wanna judge it fairly.

"She rode the broom on the beach. Now that's a sandwich." - Cyhi

Hnnnnnng  damn that sounds like something from YM

Oh yea, listening to 10 different genres =/= music connoisseur
