OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

Album is alright to me. I can do without most of the artists in there.

With that being said, Big Sean was actually tolerable.

A good review I liked out of Brown University

Review is pretty overly dramatic. It's not a classic, but it's not 'recycle bin' material, no matter how fun it is to make those dunk pictures. Also, it's pretty funny that people who were bashing WTT a year ago are now saying it's excellent compared to this.

Album is OK to me, but BLISS really SHINES on this album IMO.....John Legend made that song GO!

Anyone peep one of the radio interviews where Pusha said all the left over tracks recorded for Cruel Summer would be able to supply 4 months worth of GOOD Friday tracks :x

Hope they see the light of day...because if not... :rolleyes x 1,000,000

Future said he recorded 8 or so tracks with Ye.
Push said he recorded 20 or so tracks for the project.
Common said he did several tracks too, but only ended up making 1 to the final cut.

And I caught this on KTT - Engineer airing out some behind the scenes stuff, mainly on the delay. I'm taking it with a grain of salt, but seems like theres some truth to it.

7/10 album to me, 3 tracks I really can't see myself ever playing again but another 6 songs that are :smokin, a solid effort, just not up to what I expect from Kanye

On the remastered versions? Were there extra drops or samples added? Anyone noticed any difference?

I.E: Runway (OG Verison) vs the album version. "Look at cha"

I dunno if this adds up. If there's 4 months worth of GOOD friday joints, wouldnt that only be 16 tracks that didnt make the cut?

Listened to the album a few times and its good imo but it shouldve been so much better. Wish their were more songs and Im probably in the minority here but I honestly didnt need to hear Ye on so many tracks, wouldve traded a few of his verses for more Common on the album. Extremely disappointed Mos, Tip and Hudson didnt make an appearance on the album also. Even though I can listen to this from beginning to the end without skipping any tracks, I doubt this will have high replay value with me.

This album was a solid 4/5. The new songs i heard were ill....ye couldve put all new ish on instead of half of the album being old.

After listening to this a few more times, I think this album is good. Definitely not the caliber we'd expect from Ye but at least 3/4 of the album fits well together.

Anyone else feel that way with the album slowly growing on them? :nerd:

That Marsha Ambrosius hook is absolutely horrendous. Sounds like some **** off soundclick.

That is the worst song on the album to me. You have a beautiful voice but she sounds like that saying stupid ****? Then Kanye and Big Sean are attempting to be deep and 2 Chainz spits one of the worst verses I've ever heard "you're a treadmilling ni**a. going nowhere fast"

I haven't stoppled playing it. 4.5/5 for me. I think the album is amazing. A lot of people knocking it because you've heard so many songs but those were great songs IMO

I've been playing The Morning non stop... Everything is :pimp: about that track. Rae, Common, & Push all ripped it & Cudi coming through on the break :smokin

Been playing Creepers a lot too... Has me ready for Indicud.

The album is fiyah to me. Kanye doesn't just make one form of music for a certain demographic of people. This is the reason why he's so popular. Get over it people. The album was never meant to have 12 songs like Mercy on it. Kanye is in a whole other stratosphere sonically speaking and has been for a while. Everytime dude releases something a hear people complaining about the same sh*t. The album is tight.

strong sn to post ratio

The Morning is tight to me, except for that stupid hook. **** is totally out of place and slows the entire song down.
