OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

I was kind of thinking about how this album kind of feels like a concert set. its almost like the original tracklist he made was supposed to be the album and then the released version was his idea of the ideal performance line up. now i highly doubt that was his actual process but kind of an interesting concept since people never perform their album from front to back that often and also how the tracks cut short into samples and interludes so quickly.

The disappointment was too much when he asks Andre 3000 for help on 30 hours and there is no 3000 verse.

wondered if drew was the sample voice sayin "30hrs" with some effects on it. But that don't make sense. Which makes it something Ye would do.

It's fairly well known that Jay is mute when it comes to his people. He just want that check.

He does cut the check sometimes too.....

Not just sometimes. Jay is a heavy contributor to social causes.

Well, except when they conflict with his personal monetary interests...

Right. So "sometimes".

The third sentence was an edit addition. I was sitting in the chinese store and bout to pay for my food so I forgot to add "so actually, you right."

Just listened to the album. It's good but he barely raps on here. My favorite part of the album was the "Freestyle 4" going into "I Miss Kanye". Felt like a real album with a skit type of feel. Best song on the album is "No Parties." Followed by maybe "Ultra Light Beam". I like how the little child starts off the album with the preaching. My problems with the album is the lack of rapping. Kanye barely spits on this joint :smh: . More of harmonizing and putting words together. That "Panda" Remix is kinda' fire with Kanye on it.i give this album a 6/10 over. it's better than Yeezus and maybe 808's but it's not better than "Watch the Throne".

No shade, but I liked Kanye when he was with Amber! Graduation is his best project IMO.
He wasn't with Amber during Graduation though.

WTT is Kanye's best project if you include it with the solos. Probably Jays 3rd.

Listening to TLOP with the original track listing (Acts 1, 2, 3) he posted before he arranged it is interesting

It's reverse for me. WTT is Ye's 3rd best project behind MBDTF and Graduation and it's Jay's best. Jay almost stole every song on that project.

What do you mean?

Waitwut? Ye outshined Jay on WTT.

Stop

Kanye has never outshined jay on anything, the only one up I'll give Kanye is never let em down. And that's cause ye was spitting out pure emotion

Respectable opinion.

I hear ya'.

Kanye definitely got him on Run This Town but that's it. WTTT Jay owned that. His lyrics, the flows. Looking back WTT was the start of Kanye declining as a rapper.

I need examples of you honestly think Kanye outshined Jay on WTT.
