Noooooo

Built the rock (Roc) from a pebble (drugs) peddled rock before I met you. Peddle bikes got my nephews, peddle bikes becuz they special . :wow:

Seen the rovers roll up wit ribbons
I seen them repo'd, resold then redriven

Of course HOV murdered Kanye lyrically
I was just giving Kanye the benefit of the doubt because he was rapping off pure emotion

Yeah but Ye is the star on that track. His verse is the only thing that comes to mind when I think about it.

Not many people holding a candle to Jay's bars. Off top, I can only think of a few that bested Jay on the same track.

I am Lord Voldemort...

Taylor Swift is a convenient target at this point. The fact that he has to continue to take aim at her IMO is because in doing so it's more buzz-worthy than anything he has to say for himself.

Instead of letting the music speak for itself, he's tweeting and name-dropping.

Accurate. It seems like he's just doing shock value **** cuz he knows he's not saying anything in the music.

This.

A lot of corny **** being said in here in regards to lyrics
It may not be as obvious as it was with Yeezus, but Pablo is a punk AF

PERSONALLY, if I was going to try to bring back to hip hop what Kanye described as "that feeling DMX brought" that means **** what you think of my words
I'm here to make you feel something. all I want is for you to have a visceral reaction.
So sitting here and debating that legitimacy of putting a go pro on your ****, ain't reallyyyy the point
In fact , the point is that you have been AFFECTED by something a musician said means his intent, and execution were on point

Feedback has that New Slaves flow. But ya'll don't wanna hear that
Shouts out to this album being a 84 on Metacritic

I don't think anyone is saying Kanye is a better rapper than Jay Z, that would be stupid. Kanye definitely outshined him on the album though. Jay sounded old and dusty on it.

As for the Pablo album, I can't play it. I've tried and I have no desire to hear it. This is not a rap album, maybe that's why. I don't find the production to be anywhere near as good as some of you are saying. I'm sure this album won't make it in my iTunes through March.

Last Kanye album I enjoyed was "Cruel Summer" I thought he was in the right direction. Give us a CyHi album with great production, **** this garbage.

So I'd be lying if I said I haven't been feeling the album. There are still cringe worthy parts, and it's still a disappointment for what I was expecting when he released Real Friends and No Parties. But sonically this album is pretty damn dope. The samples are great. IDK how anyone can say they don't like Fade. It's overall just a FUN album for the most part.

There are times on the album when the lyrics are cringe worthy, but at times he does rap. Feedback is :smoking It may not be a MBDTF, or even close to "Album of the life" It may not be that cohesive but maybe "The Life of Pablo" is suppose to represent the many sides of Kanye West? Who knows. It's a fun album that puts me in a good mood. So I'm enjoying it. I'm sure a lot of these songs would be hype as a tour. I'm excited to see what he will do for the Governor's Ball show.

Oh and I still don't care what anyone says. 30 hours was recorded YEARS ago. He didn't have those Matt Barnes ad-libs at the end originally on soundcloud, between the way his voice sounds when he says "30 hours, and his rapping voice in general, mixed with all the Nelly punchlines, NO WAY thats recent at all.

SMH, I somehow find a way to enjoy anything Ye puts out, maybe I am a stan :nerd:

I am hoping for MAJOR changes on this final version though. And those Chance snippets on Waves :smoking :smoking That's how the song should have been in the first place.

First ever hearing someone say HOV sounded old and crusty on WTT

Black excellence, opulence, decadence :smokin

All I've heard as of today is what was played at Season 3. Until the "final" album drops I'm not listening to anything. Reserving my judgment til then...

Kanye showed with Real Friends and NMPILA that if he wanted to, he could still make a rap song with simple beats and bars that 90% of the people in this thread wanted him to.

Only thing is he just no longer gives a **** nor does it interest him in making songs like that. He pretty much says this himself in I Love Kanye and shows it in songs like 30 Hours. 3 Stacks throwing down a verse on a beat like that would have been GOAT, but instead Ye just has him come in for some backing vocals and adlibs for the rest of the song

Ye has already said he gave his his magnum opus rap album with MBDTF. He's on some other **** now. I might be in the vast minority, but I think he's only been getting better. Yeezus is a top 3 Ye album for me and TLOP will rank up there when I hear the final version.

I just wish we got OG Wolves :frown:
