I am not telling anybody to do anything. I am just telling you my experience. I didn't appreciate it until I was blazed.

I am not trying to change your opinion.

Fair enough. I've only listened to it once ever, it was terrible and I never went back to it. That and Graduation are his two failures

808s is his best album. I listen to it very regularly.

It's the only one I still listen without nostalgia in mind.

Everything other album I put on very consiuously like "let me listen to CD, it's been a while."

808s feels timeless. Probably because he's not talking about things that have an expiration date.

i like tracks on 808s, but as an album? It's okay at best to me. i would have preferred he strip the garbage tracks like love lockdown & badnews just made it an EP

I'm a big kanye fan

Black skinhead is hot garbage. But I don't like rock/metal music AT ALL.

New slaves was decent. But if that's the direction the album is going... I'm gonna be majorly disappointed

But I'll stay optimistic, because the majority of kanye's creative choices I've enjoyed

I also find it weird that kanye is on this tangent of knocking his celebrity attention and consumerism as a whole, when he's kinda the poster child for both.

You can't wife a chick whose job it is to seek attention, and then complain about all the attention you're getting.

Side note :
I normally prefer rappers to rap.

808's was a risky gamble for kanye, but it worked IMO

funny how Mos Def & Common dabbled in rock for damn near entire ALBUMS; got unanimous hate for it...Kanye tries it with 1 song (a HORRIBLE attempt at it, btw) and flocks of slurpers show up outta nowhere :smh:
