OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

kanyes next album will be produced by daft punk. and this is the truth

Yeah, they're totally going to make their huge comeback by producing an album for Kanye West

Exactly. Then you know that Kanye says a LOT of things and they do not come out that way or happen ...

Link or you're BSing . . .

But alot of electronic artists, like Skrillex, the guys from LMFAO, etc. have been saying that they've been working with Kanye. Also, TNGHT has been doing the DJing or whatever (if that's the correct term) for his recent shows (Revel, the 12/12/12 Benefit concert)

The TNGHT version of Cold :nthat:

I'm just saying, Daft Punk has been on hiatus for awhile; I seriously doubt they make their grand return doing a project that isn't their own. Not sure how much you know about them but it's totally not something they'd do, regardless of what Kanye West says.

I tried telling you guys months ago and you all laughed

regardless im hyped for this album and i havent listened to any of these live performances because they are not worth it. now if cdqs leaked thats a different story

one week :pimp:

I'm just saying, at the show they put a LOT of emphasis on the whole "Not For Sale"

On instagram Virgil was posting a lot about Not For Sale, and how nothing's for sale last night.

What if Kanye drops it for free?

I doubt it'll happen, but with how the marketing has been going, the emphasis on "not for sale" and the rant he went on Sunday night.... I could see it happening.

There's not really THAT much money in album sales.

Nothing that he couldn't make up from touring and what forth.

Like I said, I doubt it happens, but if it did....

It seems like he's really trying to send a message with what he's been doing. We might have to wait til next tuesday to see.

Dear Kanye West,

Simple IQ question: Which one of the following is not like the others--

Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Howard Hughes, Nicolas Ghesquière, Anna Wintour, David Stern?

the hell

what was crazy exactly?

Example 1

Q:But has that instinct led you astray?
A:It’s only led me to complete awesomeness at all times.

Q:You’ve won a lot of Grammys?
A: I don’t know if this is statistically right, but I’m assuming I have the most Grammys of anyone my age, but I haven’t won one against a white person. (not true in 2010 he beat Andy Samberg & Akiva Schaffer "Im on a Boat" for best Rap Collaboration for" Run This Town")

Example 2: (this was completely incoherent)

"But the passion is for humanity. The passion is for people. The passion is for the 18-year-old version of myself. The passion is for the kids at my shows. I need to do more. I need to be able to give people more of what they want that currently is behind a glass. I don’t believe that it’s luxury to go into a store and not be able to afford something. I believe luxury is to be able to go into a store and be able to afford something.

I sat down with a clothing guy that I won’t mention, but hopefully if he reads this article, he knows it’s him and knows that out of respect, I didn’t mention his name: this guy, he questioned me before I left his office:, “If you’ve done this, this, and this, why haven’t you gone further in fashion?” And I say, “I’m learning.” But ultimately, this guy that was talking to me doesn’t make Christmas presents, meaning that nobody was asking for his [stuff] as a Christmas present. If you don’t make Christmas presents, meaning making something that’s so emotionally connected to people, don’t talk to me."

Example 3: (maybe he didnt mean to say "the world" but he said "the world" wins when people respect Kanye West trendsetting. I have no idea how the little boys in Somalia won when Kanye made those lined sunglasses a trend. Or how the 1 billion people who live on less than a dollar a day won when he set the leather sweats trend. **I know I'm being sanctimonious as hell but you can't say "the world" with a straight face and your trends lack any social or moral conscious; blood diamonds be damned)

"Yeah, respect my trendsetting abilities. Once that happens, everyone wins. The world wins; fresh kids win; creatives win; the company wins."

Example 4: I really laughed at this, it was more funny than anything else---which one does not belong

"I’ve been connected to the most culturally important albums of the past four years, the most influential artists of the past ten years. You have like, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Howard Hughes, Nicolas Ghesquière, Anna Wintour, David Stern."

Example 5[/B]: This is crazy point blank. If he wants to feel himself to death, more power to him. His braggadocio is unquestioned. But the **** is crazy and presupposes money pushes culture.

"I think that’s a responsibility that I have, to push possibilities, to show people: “This is the level that things could be at.” So when you get something that has the name Kanye West on it, it’s supposed to be pushing the furthest possibilities. I will be the leader of a company that ends up being worth billions of dollars, because I got the answers. I understand culture. I am the nucleus."
