It's AAAIIIIGGHHHTT. Some of this stuff I just can't rock with.

New Slaves, Send It Up, Bound 2 (Charlie Wilson :wow: :pimp:) I really mess with those tracks.

***** said 4.5/10...

Ya'll need to rock out to some real hip hop....get that Cole.

:pimp:

Nah that album was weak to. He got the talent but Cole needs to reach out for some help in putting albums together.

I'll listen to 12 Reasons To Die for the real :pimp: :pimp:

Just about finished listening through, some tracks I can really mess with! Some ehhh... not horrible, just felt like for how much anticipation there was for the album, could've been a little better...

I'll sum this up really simply.

Lyrically:

Musically:

I need the straight instrumentals then.

That's how I use to feel about some of gang starr's stuff, just give me a disc with Premo's beats and you have have Guru.

Not every gang starr album, but most of those joints would have been fine with just Premo's beats imo.

Not knocking Guru like that, but the monotone flow didn't always do it for me.

I'm really feelin this album. the only song I don't like is "Send It Up". I see a lot of people comparing this to 808's and I don't agree with that comparison. only thing Yeezus and 808's have in common is the fact that they're both experimental/alternative hip-hop albums. but other than that they sound nothing alike. and lastly a lot of people are also saying this album is trash. not to put every person who doesn't like this album in a box, but a good chunk of them are people who only listen to rap music so I can see why they wouldn't like something that's outside of the box like this.

As long as everyone is in 100% agreement that Blood on the Leaves is the best song on by far I'm good.

I wish Kanye did a little more with that "God, you give us what we need" sample in "On Sight". Overall it was a "meh" album. I lowkey want him to make an 808's and Heartbreak pt.2, because "Blood on the Leaves" was

Well, "musically" doesn't just mean production. His vocals are part of it, too.

It's just that the content of those vocals is mostly lacking. I've only listened to it 1.5 times, but I don't think there's anything going over my head here. The two SNL songs are really the only ones that carry any weight, lyrically.

!+%* still sounds pretty incredible, though. All of it.
