OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

****** said Cole album was better. Lmaoooo

I just woke up from my hibernation that album caused me. With Yeezus I don't even think to skip a track. Now that isn't because of the lyrics but sonically it's amazing. Lyric wise it's typical Ye, some funny quotables and helps carry the beat.

Kanye STAN here, but i gotta say, i'm a little let down...

definitely his worse album (808's is nice, **** yall), but still not horrible...like somebody said earlier, bad by Ye standards...a few of the tracks on here are absolutely pointless and i was tricked into thinking this was gonna be some pro black next level ****...On Site is horrible...

i feel like Ye just went backwards on this album...i'm used to him pushing boundaries and creating new sounds and he's just doing whats popular right now...

on sight is my least favorite kanye song ever created.

that is my only analysis of the album so far.

*someone pass that working link i only have a stream

Ehh, not really feeling it. This isn't my type of music.

What genre would you classify this under if you had to?

The only thing that pushed me to listen to the entirety of the Yeezus album is my Kanye stan/fan boy-ism.

Yeezus, from a rap/hip-hop perspective, is wack. No two ways around it - Wack.

Only song with replay value for me is New Slaves. It sucks he used the one song he actually spits on as promotion for the album. He knew it was the only track that would sit well with the majority of rap fans.

Funny Ye lines as usual. Asian ***** cat + sweet and sour sauce

Licensed To Ball, I got you. I agree with your review, 4/10.

I guess Kanye bumping his head into that sign and Consequence leaving him had a bigger impact than any one of us anticipated :nerd: :nerd: :nerd:.

1000

I know the stans will say this is the best album ever this album is very average imo. He's doing a little too much with these songs.

It was a cool listen but I'm not feeling it like I want to play it over and over like I did with MBDTF and WTT. Musically it's cool for sure. Lyrics are kind of whatever. He talks about sexing too much. We get it Ye you like to bone. High Five! But Black Skinhead definitely better on record than the SNL performance and On Sight just too messy. Otherwise the rest of the production definitely on point. Hold My Liquor is a great vibe out song, I think my favorite so far. Gotta see how the whole album holds up over time, but I don't think it'll go down very well overall.

New Slaves is actually really good (Until you get to the end and he goes Auto tune crazy.) Kinda feels like original Kanye West.

keef on that 808's type autotune. :smokin

if he always did that i would probably a fan.

Can't Hold My Liquor is my song, the beat is just amazing imo yo.
And kanye got keef to speak English for the 1st time in months. :pimp:
I will say the lyrics are a bit lacking but overall it's good, if he does a tour, I'm def going.

This album is....

Lyrically:
Black man that grew up middle class and wifed a white chick... Let me tell you how black I am
(Not that I have anything against any of that... It's just something that happens in the black community)

Production wise:
808's + MBDTF + EDM

Haven't listened enough to rate or rank it tho

just added it to my phone and I'll give an honest quick review after a couple of listens.

I actually liked this new "sound" the Reggae + Jamaican samples + Electro + Autotune + 808s.

Like someone said, musically this album is :wow:, lyrically not so much. I like it overall though.

Edit-The first sound might be the worst song i ever heard in my life production wise. everything else i *** with

Fairly mediocre (by Kanye West standards) with flashes of brilliance. Sounds there's lots of leftover 808 bits and pieces.
