OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

Son put out a 10 track album like it was Illmatic...smh
What's crazy is that in the 3 years since MBDTF, he has the potential to put out 10 great tracks that he's made since then

Almost like he'd rather be different than put out a good album and be "safe"

I do respect him for none of his albums sounding the same

Those horns in Blood on the Leaves

Great ******g album.

Why did he sign Hudson Mohawke if he was just gonna sample him and not have him make him something new

Blood On The Leaves Beat does go hard tho

I just talked to Jesus

He said what up Yeezus

I said **** i'm chillin

Tryin to stack these millions

I know he the most high

But I am a close high

I'm really digging the album. I like the industrial feel and stripped down sound aspect. Sort of reminds of nine inch nails or death grips (two groups I really enjoy). I wish there was more than 10 songs though. I can also understand if this isn't everyone's cup of tea as well.

Get rid of the useless screaming and the last 45 seconds of "I Am a God" is one of the best beats this year.

This ***** done lost his ******g mind, he really believes he's Jesus...

Not a post-leather pants and skirt Kanye fan, liked him better when they wouldn't let that ***** rap and he had a chip on his shoulder. Now he's just a ******g dbag that does great production and wants to re-invent the wheel with his lyrics. Album was better than I expected because my expectations were truly that low. These tracks with the type of lyrical content AZ, for example, spits would have been a masterpiece.

I think a lot of people are disappointed because its not the album they wanted him to make

Just ran it all the way through again. Truly didnt even want to skip a track. I actually like this. I'm satisfied.

YE - “Right now it’s a fight against the separation and constant dumbing down of culture, and I’m standing in the middle of it. So if you know what people say are my lowest moments, those moments where I sat and saw them try to dumb down culture, and I would not allow it to happen on my clock. [Applause]

I fight to push culture forward every chance I get. And I only frown because paparazzi ask me dumbass ***** all the time, and I think about changing the world, and I think about what I can do to make things better.

(Listening Session in Switzerland before playing Yeezus)

This dude is so full of ****.....

I can see why a lot of people don't like it. I still like it a lot, but it's getting harder and harder for me to respect Kanye as an artist when almost everything is made by somebody else.... :smh:

I think Yeezus is a combination of his past work and sounds while trying out new sounds and what not ...its great...and i do see where kanye was going with it...but it left me wanting more...

Best summation of this album. You can hear all of his past albums on this and then the songs that stand out for this solo effort.

I'd probably include Yeezus in the category of 808's, which I'd separate from the rest of his catalogue.

I still have mixed feelings on it. I'm in awe at the Strange Fruit reference. Some songs like: I'm In It, Bound 2, and Blood on Leaves called for instant replay.

I Am God, was a slight let down, but it may be too early.

With all that said, I'd still have to take Yeezus over Born Sinner.

I like this a lot after about 5 full listens. Really different, but some tracks don't have replay value cause of shock factor type ish.

I just really was hoping that Hold My Liquor was gonna be an absolute banger, but that ain't really Ye.

All the sex talk sounds like a rebellion against wifing up that **** bucket. These beats tho, just keep getting better and I'm in complete shock that I wanna replay this ****. "Through the wire" Kanye rapping on this **** might have been a timeless classic, **** makes me angry lol. I'm a sample fiend so I can't get enough of this production.

Since kanye says he is the Michael jordan of rap then I guess CD, LR, and graduation was his 3peat. 808s was when he played baseball. Mbdtf was when he came back and yeezus is when he played for the wizards

But what about WTT and CS?

He's actually a dbag that isn't even producing as much of his **** as he used to.

Which just makes him a ******g dbag.

This coming from a guy who's favorite record is "Can't Tell Me Nothin'". Which he also didn't produce.

Word to Toomp.

**** all this fake rage. You rich, supposedly happy with your woman and having a baby. Stop trying to be an anarchist for the sake of shock value.
