OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

You're annoying.

Let me repeat myself:

Kanye when he first came out claimed he used to ghost produce for D. Dot.  He claimed D. Dot didn't give him credit for several songs he worked on.  One of the songs it was hinted at was All About the Benjamins.  D. Dot himself addressed this directly and said Kanye got credit for everything he did and that Kanye is spreading falsehoods.  Kanye repeated that he wasn't credited for all of his work.

EYE said this.  You basically repeated what I said then said I was making **** up because Kanye isn't listed on songs.  D. Dot himself addressed what kanye said whether it was true or not.

Sauce Money came out and said he used to write for Puff and several roc-a-fella/def jam artists.  He and others said he wrote for Reasonable Doubt.  I can't find any of the Hot 97 interviews where it was discussed but it was put out there.

Both of these rumors, he-said she-said, were circa 2004, so i can't find any of the stuff on them anymore but they were both discussed heavily ON HERE too.

But both are besides the point.  They both go back to, rappers and crews collab.  No man is an island.  Everyone spits **** for people and has them give feedback and help revise verses.  No one does **** 100% on their own.

And to emphasize, I really don't care about arguing about the D. Dot or Sauce Money things.  People here have already heard those discussions.  They were just throw ins to my overall point.

I heard the ******** the first time. I'm not sure why you're repeating yourself. Adding rumors you heard from someone doesn't help your discussion.

How can you hint you wrote Benjamins? I've heard what Kanye said. And I also know D Dot's side. Fact, he wasn't with D Dot in 96 when Benjamins was recorded.

As you can see

He got credit, that's not a ghost producer. That means he got a check. Ghost producing you get nada and the other person gets all the credit.

Every fact can be corroborated. Hot 97 has a listener ship of millions with the tri state area. That's what google and youtube are for. People co-signed the claim, who?

Sauce did write for other people, not Jay-Z is a fact. Giving someone an idea or a hook doesn't mean you wrote for someone. It means you gave them an idea or hook. However with a hook you get publishing and writers credit.

Hitboy said he's no longer on G.O.O.D, did he have any production credits on Yeezus?
Nah he didn't. He said his contract was just one where he did some singles for him and the label (mainly from Watch the Throne/Cruel Summer/Maybe MBDTF/Big Sean songs)

Hit Boy seems like he's going in the wrong direction. I don't care about his affiliation with Kanye but he's doing too much rapping (which he sucks at) and seems like he's not producing as much.

i dont think he sucks at it , but yeah . more beats . . .

I don't think Hit Boy sucks at rapping at all, and he fits in with a lot of what a lot of other people(TDE, Lupe, Wale, J Cole) are doing.with the ordinary person rapper.

Only things I'm keeping, the rest is just yelling

game was rippin 50 on it and kanye didn't want all da drama on his album.
I never got this. I mean, I see WHY Ye kept him off the song, but why didn't he just have Game record a new verse? Did he turn it in right at the deadline? Or Ye just said "nah, b; you blew your chance"?

^^^ Really though. I played the SNL version of that song so much and still play the album version all the time.

game had said somewhere he didnt know his verse had been cut until he listened to the album.

then he went and put out a kanye diss...

so maybe 2005 game was just too difficult to deal with at the time.

I actually think i misremembered a bit and it was just that Game said something angrily about Kanye removing the verse in an interview at the time.

I remember Kanye never even acknowledged the shenanigans.  The rumored explanation was that it was because of the Game vs. G-Unit beefs, but it might have also had something to do with Game throwing subliminals at J**** at the time and him finally responding (Dear Summer).

Does anyone have a link to the audio of the verse anymore? All the youtubes with Game on it are being blocked by EMI (even though the youtube links of the album version are all working fine.)

The lyrics from the verse are still available online:
Im comin from the the the projects
