OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

My tentative rank of tracks off Yeezus from favorite to least favorite
On Sight
Black Skinhead
New Slaves
Blood On The Leaves
Bound 2
I Am A God
Guilt Trip
Hold My Liquor
I'm In It
Send It Up
Tough to pick and it's changing everyday. The top 2 switch all the time for me.
Also just because something is my least favorite doesn't mean I don't like it. I still like Send It Up but it's ok/meh imo
It's a great listen front to back

"I listened to "Yeezus" and it was basically forty minutes of ambient sound at a Berlin **** club.

For everyone who thinks the first week of Yeezus sales were a victory in minimalist marketing, apparently he wasn't happy about the first week.

"Black Skinheads" is officially going to radio as the single now.

Strategy :smokin

I'm feelin' the album, the only song I  skip is "I Am a God". I really wanted to hear "Bound 2" with drums so I put some drums on it.

ROCKSTAR, ***** CALL ME ELVIS :pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

Send It Up has grown on me so heavy I love that **** now. On Sight has grown on me as well, really enjoy this album all the way through.

Still can't stand I'm in it. Black skinhead is literally the best choice on the album. That and send it up are the only ones that seem radio friendly.

MBDTF is sounding ALOT better to me now after listening to Yeezus a good amount of times, never really cared for it before.

i showed yeezus to all my friends that dont listen to rap and they liked blood on the leaves and new slaves the most

 at J. Cole outselling Yeezus

Wait wut?
I think J Cole will outsell Kanye next week. Worst Kanye album by the sales numbers.

It was obvious that this was going to happen.

It is also obvious that a lot of people in this thread have no idea how writer's credits, producer's credits and mechanical royalties work.

Kanye is listed as the CO-producer on many of the songs of this album. Which means he was NOT the MAIN producer on that track.
He assisted, or added something to the track that another person produced.
And the reason people keep bringing it up, is because the fans of this album are trying to find any excuse as to why this album is good.

First it was, "it is different and he is pushing the boundaries of music." Then the credits were released and everyone found out the other people produced most of it.
Which is not a problem for another artists, but for Kanye it's different because his main skill is production.
Because like everyone always says,"Kanye aint never been real lyrical." And then on top of that he needed help with the lyrics this time around.

But like I said before, this might be a good thing for Kanye, because now he at least has an excuse for dropping a horrible album.

Also after his agreement with Quincey Jones ended, Michael Jackson did the Lion's share of the production on every album that followed.

I don't care who produced it, who wrote it, etc etc. I really enjoy this album. Can't we just enjoy music for what it is?

That's the pain of being a hip hop fan. People are always trying to defend who's better then who, who's a better rapper, who's a better story teller, but hell when do we every just enjoy the music for being music?

There's a concept behind this album as well, just like MBDTF... it may not be layed out in front of you, but there is definitely a concept to Yeezus.

I think Kanye's concept for this album is:
How much money can I make off of an album with the least amount of effort put into it.

Where was the effort? In the lyrics? Maybe the production? Or maybe it was the marketing? Album cover? :rolleyes

 @ people picking and choosing what to like....I **** w/ cole, hov, and ye albums...all 3 are different and dope in their own way

Y'all can have that whale album tho
