"Fam please, don't make my man squeeze
or we can take it to the gloves and I'll show you the hand speed"

Wait. So talking proper equates to him not being Black?! Yeah, we're lost as a people... :smh:

Is this what people are saying? Or are they saying that being on some "New Slaves", "Black Skinhead" **** one day and then playing the role on Mama Kardashian's show the next is a bit.....confusing?

Kanye reminds me of the kid in elementary school that always had to carry around a baggie of crackers because they had low blood sugar.

You can talk proper but not come off like a douchebag, and also feminine.

A big difference.

How is dude a cornball brother when he has a damn grill in mouth tho?

This too. Ye' been talking proper in interviews. **** ain't nothing new.A lot of cats don't have a reason to hate Ye, but always manage to find something to hate on. It's really hilarious.

I just don't understand why he feels the need to switch it up when he's in front of a different crowd. I understand if he don't use slang or something in these type of interviews but completely changing your voice? I don't get it.

My boy do that. He's black but when he goes into restaurants or in a professional environment and things like that he changes his voice to sound completely different. It's like night and day. I'm just like bro be your self, if that's not good enough then oh well...

Just imagine if Kanye ever talked to Obama, my head would explode...

Be yourself...even white people see through that ****.

Obama doesn't front when he talks...at least I don't pick up on any phony dialect.

Exactly.

Like what is his reason for doing it?

Jay-Z did so many interviews with way more famous people than Kris K and never changed up.

I know I shouldn't compare the two because they're their own person but it's just lame man..

Nothing wrong with talking proper or articulate but when you go to the extreme to disguise who you really are then you have an issue...

Exactly. It has nothing to do with the words that he's saying. It's the inflection, tone and mannerisms that hes clearly switching up to connect to a certain crowd. Drake does this as well.

Yup I noticed that as well. I think the voice he does during his urban interviews and in his music is his change up voice.

why, though?

i doubt 2pac would ever do some **** like that..

it's cool to tone it down.. but straight up switching your whole demeanor is fake as hell.
The irony....

My thing with Ye is....Can I get just ONE track where he snaps again? On some Grammy Family verse steeze. Please.

"From the chi, city of hella haters, but we keep rising to the top like elevators"
i was thinking the tupac comment was ironic too

i always chuckle when people say **** like that about pac.  "he was so reaaaaal!"  yea... right...

and i dont know, i feel like Ye snapped on the diamonds remix, but not everyone felt that way.

So you'd rather he get on and act ignant in front of the same white america that scrutinizes his every move? I don't get it, I don't talk to my boss & coworkers like I talk to my homeboys, nor do I carry myself the same when I'm at work. Am I now a sellout? Cause as far as I'm concerned I never leave my blackness at home and I'm not sure how Ye is by simply speaking proper.

dude... you don't KNOW them.  like i don't know how else to put it other than you're judging a persons "real" self and his "fake" self based on the 80 minutes you hear of them on a cd and the however many hours of footage youve seen of them on a tv.  that THEY put out and allow you to hear. like real talk, you have no idea what kanye and jay or drake's REAL personalities or speaking styles are.  you know what they show you.

and that first quote from you is just silly.

See, you really dont get it. Kanye normally speaks proper, so this has nothing do do with him speaking proper. You equate not speaking proper with him being "ignant" or "blackness". Thats the problem here. Nobody said he's being a sellout, he's simply using a far different tone and inflection than he's used before when doing interviews. He's saying the exact same words, but in a completley new voice. Almost like he was reading a character

Bro just shut up. You're not making any sense...

I don't know if you're trolling or just an idiot but stop it

I am not equating blackness with speaking proper, I think others on this page were though which is why I brought it up. And cornball brotha was what he was called on the last page, so clearly someone is calling him a sellout. So catering to an audience is doing what exactly? You have a problem because he's using a different tone? My man is literally in the same fit he wears daily, with the same shining *** gold bottoms and I'm supposed to think he's shedding himself because of his audience? I just don't the point.
