Thats the media's reaction but the public's reaction was quite different. Hell even MCHG got decent reviews but was slammed by the general public a while after it came out.

MCHG got a LOT of negative press.  It was more widely regarded in the public than in the media.  Almost the flip of Yeezus.

MCHG sold though.  Yeezus didn't.  Part of that could be due to the fact that it never (and still hasn't) had a real single and outside the SNL gig, new slaves projections on the building (which could have been huge if he'd followed it up with real promo) NY Times interview (which dropped 4 days before the album leaked) and Governors Ball show, he didnt really promote and sell the album at all. 

I think if he had pushed it the way he usually does (radio single, GOOD Fridays, tons of features, video, live shows) he would have done typical Ye numbers (even Magna Carta sold 528,000 before dropping down to 129k the 2nd week then like 70k after that.  Same with Drake) but Kanye wanted to pull a punk rock anti-marketing, be it because he thought he'd sell no matter what or maybe he really doesn't care anymore, and it ended up not performing as well in stores as most of his previous stuff even though this was one of his best reviewed albums to date.

Exactly. People love Bound 2 because "it's old Kanye" but Kanye has grown as an artist. His first album compared to his last are polar opposites but sound great because he's great.

cruel summer had some good tracks... the morning, new god flow, & creepers were my favorites. the thing that gets me about that album is it could've been SO much better. if you look at what ye did with the G.O.O.D. friday tracks, that would've made one hell of an album.

chain heavy, christian dior denim flow, don't look down, don't stop!, G.O.O.D. friday, looking for trouble, lord lord lord, take one for the team, etc.

imagine if that was the album

those tracks he dropped for free were a lot better than what we got on the official cruel summer project imo.

That's a good idea. I wish I was disciplined enough to not do the same thing for the WTT tour. But it was still great as I imagine this will be also. Which show are you going to?

i know fammm... I LOVE watching his concerts my fav is when he performs runaway and does his extended version/freestyle at the end :x :x :x :x i need to see it live :x
