808's was fire :smokin I respect him being able to step away from the rap norm & his comfort zone & still put out heat.

Im hoping this isn't a trap album, though. :\

im really excited to see what him and GOOD will be putting out.

I made "Jesus Walk" so I'm never going to hell Couture level flow, it's never going on sale Luxury rap, the Hermes of verses Sophisticated ignorance, write my curses in cursive

This pretty much sums it up but this is all collabo work. Ye's solo album has been great and the traditional Ye some of you are clamoring for. Hold out to his solo work.

The luxury rap thing isn't bad from the perceptive it's still better then most of the stuff coming out but still know Kanye can do better. I enjoy it and take it very lighthearted as it should be.

The GOOD Friday series was so dope my expectations are high.

Kanye was really on another planet in 2010, straight shut the entire music game down. Gem after gem with GOOD Friday's and then he @#$## around and dropped MBDTF my goodness :smh: :x

Don't Look Down will forever remain one of my favorite Ye tracks. It should've made the cut for MBDTF it just fit the theme so well.

but if he did records like put on, cant tell me nothing, theraflu, it would be received with open arms.
if he did a full album of socially aware/concious yet still ignorant rap like the songs above

Hopefully he got some tracks with Pusha and 2 Chainz on CS that are like this

yeah it's all about how good he handles the balance of that dynamic....lately it's just been all stuntin he's not as effective on the conscious level...production wise he's still on point though. :smokin

Yea I completely agree. Don't Look Down should have been placed in between Blame Game and Lost In The World or even after Who Will Surive In America. Then again I understand why it was left out.

One of my favorite Big Sean lines "I ask why sometimes like a f*****n vowel, been hitting trees everyday like a f*****n owl"

All this G.O.O.D. Friday talk makes me realize how much I miss getting a new track every week. :\

If this album is anything close to how those tracks were, its gonna be :pimp:

i think all can agree 808s was not his best, but it was a very solid album!!! those who clowned on him before the album dropped actually had a change of heart

when i heard the album i was impressed on how many good tracks were on it

personally i thought his best work was on late registration my fav YE album

808s is definitely at the bottom of my rankings for Ye albums, but that isnt to say it wasnt good at all.

Kanye West is known for keeping his fans in suspense as they eagerly anticipate the release of new material. But another thing West has been known to do is take control of a party. In fact, the multi-platinum MC reportedly introduced club-goers to new music over the weekend during an impromptu DJ set at New York City’s PH-D Rooftop Lounge.

A source who was at the venue early on Saturday morning to celebrate a birthday party for DJ Reach told the New York Daily News that West arrived at the lounge alongside Leonardo DiCaprio before grabbing his laptop and venturing off into the DJ booth.

The source told the newspaper that the tracks West played were of “similar production style” to the tracks featured on his 2011 collaborative effort with Jay-Z, “Watch the Throne,” and also premiered a song tentatively titled, “My Perfect *****.”

“(He raps) verses about his search for the perfect woman and how he has now found the 'perfect b**ch,'" the source revealed. The partygoer added that the Chicago native concluded his 45-minute set with his controversial track, “Way Too Cold.”

Although there’s no official word if the tracks will appear on his forthcoming compilation “Cruel Summer,” slated for release in September, Saturday's surprise set wasn’t West’s first time rocking a New York City club unannounced. Prior to the release of his 2010 solo effort, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” he previewed a handful of tracks during hip hop producer Scam Jones’ set at club CV.

"Kanye came through,” Jones explained to MTV News in 2010. “There's a table right by the DJ booth, so they posted up right in front of the booth, and basically, after they hung out for a little while, 45 minutes later, (West's good friend Plain Pat) came in the booth and said he wanted to play some new stuff. He had a CD, and we put it in."

Anyone else read about Ye's surprise listening party? Not a big surprise Kanye is carrying over his WTT production style. As for those complaining about his rap verses lately, I guess the criticism will continue since one of his upcoming tracks is titled 'Perfect B***h'.
