Skimming through this kanye I thought it was horrible. Running it down for the third time it's just bad. That Cole is nice. Gonna go support tomorrow after work.

was in best buy coppin Cole and I was so close to coppin Yeezus just off the strength that Imma huge fan and bought all his albums...

couldnt do it tho looking at that physical copy and the fact that I only like 3 or 4 songs on the album.

all the positive reviews this is getting is kinda joke... I wonder how Ye feels to get stellar reviews from critics but then never get taken serious for that Grammy look for AOTY.

I think Cole is dope I just finish listening to the funk flex 10 min freestyle he went in

I would never compare Cole to Ye they on 2 different levels

If your a fan of late 90' nine inch nails or early 2000's euro pop rap like grime music this is the kanye album for you

Mixed with reggae and trap music


I still think guit trip is the best song on the album
I also think this is great change for rap and music in general

I really don't like this album. It's like he made New Slaves purposely to trick me into thinking it would be good

That's interesting. mBDTF is my least favorite Kanye album out of the bunch. Still an amazing album nonetheless.

Right now, I think my ranking would be:

LR>>>>>>>>>> Graduation >> CD >>>>> Yeezus > 808s >>>>>>mBDTF.

The way you have that list ranked is pretty close to mine. Except I cut off the last 3 and pretend they don't exist, making Kanye's have one of the greatest back to back to back catalogs ever.

I liked it at first, but there isn't much replay value in my opinion. I find myself listening to Coles album much more, and that will probably continue.

I also think this is great change for rap and music in general

I thoroughly enjoy this album. It's on the verge of great. "On Sight" and "I Am a God" stickout for me.

But as far as Ye's discog:

LR > CD > 808 > Graduation >>> MBDTF



This may find itself after LR. I'll have to sit with it a while.

After my second listen, I'm really feeling the album more than I initially thought.

I am a God, New Slaves, Hold My Liquor, Blood On The Leaves, Guilt trip, Send It Up, and Bound 2 all work for me.....thats 7/10 tracks that I really like, not too shabby. And I listen to everything from Canibus, Army of the Pharoahs, and 7L and Esoteric ....to Coldplay, Cold War Kids, and Vampire Weekend

imo j.cole was a disappointment also, i was expecting something similar to TWU /FNL or better lyric and story wise, i think dude hit a plateau, like he is running out of things to say, its the same **** every time, hopefully he comes back strong next time

I feel like dude is still searching for a lane.
Its why many view his music as boring. Sad
to say, because he can really spit, just get tired
of hearing about "his story"
