and thats fine, and respect to your diversity.

But at this point I figured that this album is just pandering to a crowd, who really won't give a 'f' about the next kanye project...and it does a bad job of pandering in the first place. This album gets a pass because it's Kanye, and that may be a good thing or even a bad thing...but if people are exposed to different music because of it then good. But Kanye has executed some of this album ideas much better in the past (see: stronger, can't  tell me nothing, drunk n hot girls etc)

but who's to say that a dude who bumps the purple tape and old rakim can't mingle with 'all people'. Hip Hop by definition should gain you entry into any damn room you want...it shouldn't be compromised to placate highminded pitchfork critics.

When it comes down to it 'Ye is about his money

Techno/Rave music is hot and he is capitalizing....

808's was the same thing, I believe he dropped that because autotune was hot at the time...

'Ye is probably the only hip hop artist who can drop an album like this and still cashout

So yea I agree, he somewhat gets a pass...

i like that response

true

This album is decent off of my first spin...

If you ONLY listen to hip hop/r

what if you listen to everything and still don't like this album?

Then normally, you'd STOP posting in a thread for an album you DON'T like :smh:

OAN: Kanye has gone non record saying his albums are somewhat "time capsule" of whatever was going on/hot at that time. From the features to the sound...

Half these tracks will be spinning for EDC

I guarantee you none of this album will be played at EDC

This **** is incredible. Could def be more lyrically but the overall sound is on another level.

I don't think he cares about money, as much as he does pushing boundaries.

Ye sees himself as a leader of the zeitgeist, and and with that comes a responsibility to push boundaries with every project.

I think it's cool that a mainstream hip hop artist in 2013 made an album like this. A black mainstream hip hop artist, who had already expanded the genre from within. It's going to lead to artists not being genre pigeonholed as much and that's a good thing.
