OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

I still don't see all of the fuss over Bound 2, it is just ok to me.

I feel like it should not have been on the album, it goes away from the rest of the concept and feel he had already drew you in with the previous 9 tracks, throws me off in a way.

I feel like it should have been a bonus track or they should have just dropped it randomly before the album dropped... something.

Last 30 seconds of On Sight are crazy.

agreed.

track is crazy

i love that gospel sample on there as well... "he'll give us what we need, it may not be what we want"

this is what he did with this album... love the mindset.

Coming from someone who is a huge fan of Kanye West (has every album, seen him live 6 times)....it absolutely baffles me how people can like Yeezus.  It really does.

I have listened through the album three times now, and I have to say that I doubt I will give it another spin.  This album is absolute trash.  Even the production to me isnt very good.  I feel like it has no flow, and is just a bunch of jumbled sound on a lot of the tracks.

Even though I expected this album to be his worst to date, nothing prepared me for what I heard.  I have always been one who has the "to each his own" approach to music, but I am thoroughly confused as to how anyone could like this album.  2 songs are tolerable.  Thats it.

328k first week sales

J Cole with 297k.

lulz at da cole fans thinking he woulda outsold ye

Why can't you just be happy for both?
If someone would of told you J.Cole would be sellin 30k less albums than Kanye West 3 years ago you'd spit out your drink. Only album #2. Got the rap game nervous.

But Congrats Yeezy for 328k. Even though he's clearly falling off sales wise he still has a #1 album with minimal promo. That's still a statement.

Great week for hip hop :pimp:

you're crazy....the production on this is bananas..... On a good system and if you're on something....

in the clubs....crazy.

Maybe because a few years ago hip hop sales were dead.

So who knows? Maybe you'd be happy to see the genre doing well again.

Or not.
To each his own.

But to those of us who appreciate the art of rap it's nice to see the top 3 albums of the week being hip hop.

And I guess to others all that matters is winning the week of June 18th.

To each his own.
No problem either way to me.

The fuss is because it sounds like a leftover track from College Dropout. I agree with you 100%. Song sounds nothing like the rest of the album and shouldn't be on the album. Best part of the track is Charlie Wilson's vocals.

Only kept three songs. New Slaves, Guilt Trip and Blood on the Leaves. Album is a little below average.

Joint ******g slaps in the whip.

Had some David Beckhams put in the other day & I thoroughly enjoyed Skinhead, In it, Blood leaves, and Send it up

get off the gas. i don't need this album.

he got so many people saying that it's hilarious.

i understand that idea in certain instances, but this is not one of them.

the streets and the industry would keep pushing along and progressing without this album.

Cole was already dropping. K. Dot is fresh off a phenomenal album. Chance the Rapper's tape is refreshing and Schoolboy Q's album is about to be dope...nobody NEEDS Yeezus to save the culture or anything so just say you really like the album.

just my 2 cents

if you hate kanye and the album why do you keep posting in this thread though
I don't hate Kanye. I've been a huge Kanye fan since I saw the Through the Wire video 10+ years ago. I just don't like the album. I don't know why that means I can't keep up with the discussion here, especially when it involves more than one album/artist that I'm a fan of.

Not even sure why I respond to you logically.
