OFFICIAL Ye fka "kanYe West" x G.O.O.D. Music Thread - ¥$ (AKA YE X TY DOLLA SIGN) - VULTURES (NOW AVAILABLE WOWWWW)

As far as clothing goes over the past 4-5 years LITERALLY what he decides to rock with is what moves men fashion btwn the ages of 16-35.... Let him start rocking a combo strongly and watch as EVERY aspect of fashion slowly starts to adapt to him.

From the joggers, to the givenchy Era, to the Balmain/ biker jeans, Longer hemmed T-shirts etc etc .... when he does something 6-12 months later ALL of the fashion Industry takes notice and switches there style...

From the quick spots H&M/ Zara to high end Ralph/ Chanel/ YSL they all have adopted styles and worked on trends that our heavily based on what he has started as a trend. Hell even nike has made EVERY NIke ID available in Yeezy colorways.

so yes his own line hasn't taken off yet (If we're not gonna count the Yeezy or the Louis or the APC collabs being instantly sold out and double to triple retail price every single time) but he is by far the most influential guy in fashion right now for the 16-35 demographic.
Just what exactly are you gauging such a statement off of for the first point?  At or around the age or 25, which is what some would consider to be a grown man, who in their right mind is dressing like Kanye?  Maybe the teenagers and young adults because at that age most folks are impressionable, but when you say he moves MEN'S fashion, key word being "men" I think you are way off base.

Also, what fashion shows have YOU been to or fashion insider statementS can you provide that would be a testament to your second point that I highlighted?

Asinine Statement of the Month:  "After watching the Made In America performance...there is no denying Kanye is the greatest of our generation"--Ginfante

@illphillip  with all due respect the only thing I can say when it comes to Ye and fashion is that, you are right, the clothes designer does deserve credit for creating the pieces, under that circumstance, Ye made the Yeezys that's probably the most hyped and sought after sneaker (after Mags and stuff like that). When it comes to the clothing, you can put the most expensive, exclusive w/e clothes on someone, but it's how the wearer rocks it, not just the clothes itself.

dude mentions my sig like if i dont embrace it or something  i repped you for pointing it out last time :pimp:

:30 sec :pimp:

DONT SAY **** ABOUT YE :pimp:

What I find most amusing is that all I do is try to provide balance to the over the top statements made by some of Kanye's most irrational fans.

why tho

live ya life fam

its not like ur gonna change anyones opinion

Pastelle didn't happen because of the Taylor swift thing

Also the clipse line and what kanye wants to do are 2 completely different markets
You know damn well the Clipse don't do anything tangible for Play Cloths than wear it (sometimes)

I remember reading they don't even see a large return on it because every single thing is delegated. They're just figure heads.

Add in that their clothes are just a BBC/Ice Cream clone which is a Bape clone which is a ___ clone and their lane and what Kanye does/has in mind are completely different galaxies.

and Cudi should come back on

at some point Ye was looking to sign Mannie Fresh too.

what is bape a clone of

Bape's not a clone but very derivative of Nike and influenced by 90s street wear brands. My point is, those other brands (maybe Bape is a bad example) weren't trying to break any molds.

w0t.

That post might have been worse than anything Deuces has said in here

No seriously dangerous, I remember when that song first dropped everyone was like "wtf is this garbage" and then it got a cult following out of nowhere. Homie is singing off key and not even rhyming on some of lines. Pusha's verse is decent though but clearly my least favorite song from MBDTF

Side note: I downloaded MBDTF about 3 weeks before it dropped and had a little get together at my crib with drinks. I was OBSESSED All of the Lights when I first heard it, the horns, the Elton John vocals and played it for the people in my house and everyone was dancing
